The headline on Google news was truncated by format space to read "Terror suspect who screamed “Long live the Caliphate” as he stabbed cop and couple in New Year rampage is de . . . and I thought, oh goody, they shot dead the mad bastard: then the headline proper carried on with 'tained under Mental Health Act." I do hope they can make him better so that he won't want to stab anyone else.

I agree. Its far more constructive to sit these befuddled folk down with a fortifying cup of sweet tea and a digestive and talk about their issues and anxieties in a calm and collected manner so that they can work through their inner turmoils. I mean we all get into a tizzy sometime in out lives and knifing strangers in railway stations seems to me to be, albeit a bit messy, a perfectly normal reaction and one that I am sure most people would not wish to overreact to. I think its good that our social services are now awakening to the idea that these people just need a bit of TLC when they become unglued at the seams and not demand that they be taken round the back of the police station, dog fcuked and shot - and their family charged for the cost of the bullet. I think we should create safe zones where samurai sword wielding mental defectives can hack away with impunity at anonymous passersby safe in the knowledge that men in white coats from Rampton are on hand to nurture and assist them when they have worked off their inner demons - far more civilised don't you think?

well....that's got to fill you with confidence in our immigration system.....nutbags bro works at an airport.....I'm sure he had no idea his beloved brother was twatted in the head and bursting with enthusiastic notions of patriotism to his adopted country. Jeez...did they all walk around that house with their collective heads up their arses whilst nutbag drooled over his Quran and sharpened his knives!!??

FFS it gets more insane by the bloody day doesn't it! And apart from the 'airport worker' I'd bet a king's ransom the rest of them are on welfare benefits. 'Those whom the gods wish to destroy . . . '?

There was some obsessive 'useful idiot' from one of the many south coast 'Refugees are welcome here' charities being interviewed about the influx via the Channel on BBC tv news last night - a female needless to say? Aren't they all!! - and at the end of the interview she closed it with 'There are many reasons why they want to come to the UK.', and I thought 'How right you are. Missus - prisons like holidays camps, generous welfare payments for all comers, free health care unto the grave, and plenty of children in care homes to abuse.' And there's Javid waffling about rescuing them from the English Channel so that they can do all of that??? WTF has happened to us? I can answer that - we have literally gone mad with compassion. We're hell-bent on out-compassion'ing every other country on the planet and it's destroying us.

Good stuff. 'the police don't know what the motive was' ffs? :wall: The point is they do know, just as the rest of us with more than 5 brain cells do, but they're under orders to keep it low profile. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if some of the London stabbings were/are terrorist-related either, nor the horrendous knifing on the train in Surrey yesterday. That poor kid - the son of the victim - is now traumatized for life. Who wouldn't be, after witnessing that?
