Because he chose to disrespect the anthem, he actually distracted from his message. You are wrong on several points here. About 40% of Millennials are Trump supporters and that number is increasing. Does an intelligent marketeer give 40% of an important group the finger? Second, among the younger groups a great many of them have their stuff bought for them by mom and dad. When the people with the gold say No Nike, there is no sale.

Nike has done well by tying their products to winners on the field. Kaepernick is a loser and divider. Kids buy Nike to be a winner like Jordan not a washout like Kaepernick.

Nike may see a short term jump in product sales. Libs will buy a pair just to show their disdain for Trump. However, this is short term. In the long run, the ones they pissed off will not buy and the libs will move on to another cause. Alienating any part of your market is a stupid strategy in any business.

The fact that anyone still wears those shitty shoes is mind boggling to me. I have never had a pair of Nikes that lasted more than 3 months meanwhile my New Balance shoes are going on 18 months for this pair and I have had them last up to 3 years, granted they weren't pretty but they didn't have any holes or tears in them.
