He's concerned about white cops killing blacks.
But Trumpsters are determined to distort his message.
    Any way they possibly can....

it is funny witnessing leftists go to the mat for A) a corporation, and B) a corporation that has its extremely overpriced merchandise assembled in sweatshops that pay workers pennies per unit.

I remember when they tried to destroy Kathy Gifford. they still routinely bash Walmart (but not Apple for some reason)

Nike’s Colin Kaepernick Deal Puts Risk on Display
Ad campaign featuring former NFL player sparks calls for boycott of shoe giant; shares tumble

Shares in Nike Inc. NKE -3.16% fell nearly 3% on Tuesday as the shoe giant faced backlash over its decision to put National Football League quarterback-turned-activist Colin Kaepernick at the center of its latest advertising campaign.........

A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll of 900 registered voters last month sheds light on the divisiveness of the national-anthem protests. In total, 54% of respondents said they found the player protests to be not appropriate, versus 43% who did....

As has been asked, what in the WORLD was their marketing department thinking?
Wanna bet the median income for the disapproving side is higher than that of the approving side?

Why are "Trumpsters" determined to distort his message?

The fact remains he's disrespecting our nation in his "protest". There's lots of ways he could have protested, but he chose that one. His choice. My choice to disagree or not support his actions. Why are LWers intent on forcing people both watch and accept his actions? His disrespect for our nation?

But they supply the capitalization and they forecast performance, that is upon what they make their decisions not their personal taste in apparel.

We all are concerened about any cop of any color killing people of any color with an unjustified shooting, but we don't blame the whole country for oppressing POC.
    .
    What Kap said was...

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game.

God Bless America! A place where people are free to protest and corporations using slave labor can hook up with people protesting while other Americans are free to avoid dealing with either of them.

The Hollywood elite peddling the "First Man" and it's historical revisionism regarding planting the American flag on the Moon should take note.

Fine and he can pursue the concern on his own time and his own dime not when he is representing a sports team at a sports entertainment event. Where does he get the idea he can inject his political views and societal objections no matter how misplaced into a venue and and event someone else is paying for and PAYING HIM as an employee?

People really need to start being able to separate someone's entertainment value from their political views. Tom Cruise is not only a leftist but one of those nutty scientologists but I still like watching his movies. If everyone is going to get butt hurt over someone's political views then they better be 100% or they are nothing more than hypocrites. I bet many of those same people that went to see the Bradley Cooper movie about the sniper guy didn't have any problems with that did they?

Yes free to protest on their OWN dime and their OWN time and not disrespect other people in the process and certainly not disrespect the flag at a sporting event where you are not paid to be expressing your political or societal opinions. And YEP we are free to not purchase their products and investors are betting those sales will go down.

There are 80,000 people in the stands and only a handful of guys kneeling, while the anthem continues to play, and the flag still flies. Who cares?

Well I didn't see them at the beginning of their movies taking a knee for some proclaimed political or societal grievance.

They are free to kneel and Nike is free to cut deals with them while Americans are free to turn their backs, turn off their TV sets or avoiding buying products which have chosen to take a political stance.

Remember Chik-Fil-A? Yeah, like that except now the shoe is on the other foot.

Yes because taking a knee for a few seconds silently is so much more horrifying than a monologue and constant rips and jokes at award events and nightly show interviews. Kapernick has not even begun to approach the minimal level of annoying for a celebrity.
