    It stopped long before 1990

Black people have gotten more than equal protection before the law since the 1960s

So you think picking crops from the field is an improvement?
Didn't they do that already in our history?

Black liberals and guilt-ridden whites are not satisfied with mere equal opportunity

Now you want equal results in spite of less than equsl effort by low income black people

I don't even think they're "guilt ridden". To me, they just seem to have a narcissistic superiority complex. They need to see themselves as morally superior and they are willing marder themselves to believe they are "woke". Uhg!

No one is tied to the whipping post anymore, but some people cling to it for dear life, and would have us all believe nothing has changed since the civil war era.

Go look at the thread about the Taco Bell workers who refused to serve a customer, because she spoke English, and then tell me things haven't changed.

Face it, your generation put in laws and practices to keep them down. And your generation is still trying to do so.
It is white guilt that is the problem, it's the racism that exists among your generation. Which you are here supporting.

    Not my generation

Do you think anyone posting here is 100 years old?

    The old racists were white

But the racists today are black

Most of you are in your 70s and older. It was you and your parents.
Your generation was responsible for separate drinking fountains, separate bathrooms, back of the bus, etc.

Your generation and before, did everything possible to keep the black skin folks down.
And you think, after about 1 generation of laws being in place, they should be out of the poverty your generation put them in.

I had a hunch you you didn't know what you were talking about. Which is why I seldom debate you. Now I see I was right.
70's or older? Pfftt! I think not. Where do you come up with this crap.

Then why are federal courts striking down voter ID laws and ruling that they "were enacted with racially discriminatory intent". That wasn't 100 years ago. That was 2017.

Most Jim Crow laws were enacted long before anyone alive today was born

And they were repealed generations ago

Not only that those laws were not federal laws but only in some southern states

Whereas black disfunction exists everywhere there are black people

Of course. Most cops do a good job often in tough situations. Those that don't should be dealt with accordingly.

People’s constitutional rights being messed with for political gain, is not an inherently
    "racist" phenomena.

No but it is a "historically racial" one in America.

"The National Football League believes in dialogue, understanding, and unity," the league's president of communications and public affairs, Jocelyn Moore, said in the statement. "We embrace the role and responsibility of everyone involved with this game to promote meaningful, positive change in our communities. The social-justice issues that Colin and other professional athletes have raised deserve our attention and action."

Not necessarily. Older blacks born in the segregated south might not have birth certificates. Makes it kind of hard to get ID. But hey take it up with the court it was their language and their ruling. Someone who doesn't understand what a strawman is though shouldn't question anyone's logic, let alone a judges.

I agree. And seems other have come to the same (logical) conclusion also. http://www.newhampshire.com/apps/pb...N01&lopenr=170329911&Ref=AR&template=printart

"The argument that voter ID laws are an attempt by Republicans to depress minority turnout is an article of faith among Democrats.

They were buoyed by a January study that purported to show lower minority participation in states with voter ID laws. Specifically, researchers found that states with strict voter ID laws had much lower turnout of Hispanic voters, and somewhat lower turnout for other minority groups, while white turnout was unaffected.

Surely, only the most irresponsible of right-wing fake news outlets would dispute such staggering evidence.
    Enter Vox.
The liberal website that tries to explain the news reported last week on a follow-up study that blows several large holes in the first one.

Republicans worry that nonvoters are voting in cities where Democrats keep ineligible voters on the rolls. Requiring voters to provide identification is neither onerous nor unconstitutional."

They can still get a picture id even without a bc

And so can whites of that generation who are just as unlikely to have a birth certificate either

This is about cheating on election day which is a mainstay of democrat party politics

There is no social injustice at a football game

Curses on the black players for politicizing a once-great sport
