OK, so now it's the "XE" variant of the COVID pandemic virus...?

Just heard last night about this variant showing up in India. They call it the "XE" variant. It's another one that spreads at nearly 'light-speed', but supposedly is no more dangerous than a three-day cold. Uh-huh. "You don't need to worry about it -- at least, not for now."

We're already being herded into getting a fourth jab (Pfizer Booster #2), with yet another shot already being predicted for a few more months from now.

Question: DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON...?! :lonely:

In our culture, if we find a cure for something and we can sell it either to the patient or the insurance company, by God we will demand everyone use it lest we identify them as a social menace!

Didn't you just explain what's going on?

New XE variant appeared, which is very mild.

Anybody can see (and slavishly follow along) with what 'bread crumbs' the "experts" cast down to us mere mortals from on high.

We're already told we should have four (FOUR) "vaccinations" in one year, with the very real prospect of getting a fifth, or even a SIXTH! And that doesn't disturb you...? Ah, I remember when I had so much unquestioning faith in the "experts", but my gullible childhood is long-gone....

Truth? It is by NO means clear that anyone, with the possible exception of the Chinese, know WHAT the hell this/these virus/viruses is/are....

Shouldn’t it be called the XI variant?

The other day, while sitting in traffic under an overpass, I saw three homeless people.... Giving each other an injection..... It's so nice to know they care enough to self vaccinate like that!

..... It's a joke, for anyone who might need to know that. :)

Viruses mutate to be more communicable and less deadly It's the way they work. Likely no need to get a shot, they don't seem to work anyway so why bother?

According to that video he said its up to the FDA and CDC, and that Pfizer will have it available for older and more vulnerable people. So, no, he is not pushing it for everyone, which is almost surprising, since its their product and typically a CEO would do anything to sell their product.

If you don't want the shot, then don't take it. I don't plan to take it, but I also don't plan to whine about others taking it. To each his own. They have flu shots every year available to anyone who wants them. I have never taken one.

Nice comment. That's the natural development of a virus.
Once you limit the diffusion of the early variants [the most lethal ones] and you vaccinate the population, you can leave the last variants circulate without great problems.

The Spanish Flu killed many millions of persons because they didn't limit the circulation of the early lethal variants.
The First World War was the main concern, so that sanitary authorities didn't obtain enough attention by governments.

But about SARS-Cov2 we can say that it's showing a natural development towards a weak infection [a cold, substantially].

Well, lessee... Last spring it was Pfizer shot #1, followed by Pfizer shot #2. Then, last autumn, it was Pfizer shot #3 (the 'booster'), and now we're being told that more and more of us should get Pfizer shot #4 (Biden did a photo-op during his shot #4 recently) -- and, we'd already been told that a shot #5 might be coming in a few months. Then, NOW, we've got another super-fast 'variant', this XE thing (a 'recombinant' of the BA.1 and BA.2 variants), which has cropped up in India and which is already in the UK. Links: https://www.usnews.com/news/health-...avirus-variant-xe-identified-spreading-in-u-k

And you just KNOW that if it's already infecting hundreds of people in the UK, it's just a short matter of time before some cluck comes dragging into the United States with it.... So, following past-progression, is there any reason why this wouldn't result in a "shot #6"...?

No one has told me to take 4 shots, and I do not plan on taking one.

If more shots are available and recommended for certain people, then so what? Why does it offend you? They recommend flushots too, and I never take them, but they don't offend me.

A lot of doctors are advising people to hold off on a 4th shot unless you are immune compromised and what the hell is going on is what viruses tend to do over time. The great Spanish flu epidemic of 1918 really was 1918-21 and then it was just another version of "the flu".

Well...not to put too fine a point on it, it "offends" me that although our poor country, which is already hopelessly mired in staggering amounts of debt, is recklessly squandering billions MORE on all this 'virus' crap -- and we STILL don't have a concise, definitive realization of exactly what the hell we're actually dealing with! If that doesn't trouble you, then all I can say is that I envy you your tranquility....

In a philosophical way, I can almost agree with you. Philosophers, however, live in their own little worlds... while the rest of us have to schlep along here on Earth like dung beetles.... Anyway, whether it's good 'philosophy' or not, I'm not going to undergo any further jabs, shots, vaccinations, or boosters until I can feel with some improved degree of confidence that our 'experts' do, in fact, know WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!
