now where the personal responsibility of the mother Nancy Lanza on a cruse, drinking like a fish stone high here,
note drink in hand [IMG] , here.
she was getting 150,000 a year alimony, couldn't she buy a 500.00 $ [IMG] gun safe to put those guns in, then this would of never happen. so why in the NRA going this commune liberal route?

I believe she received much more money than that from her ex-hubby each year. She bought herself a home 3 years ago that is now worth $1.6 million. So....when you hear some Democrat elected official say...."Oh, we need to stop taking money out of mental healthcare and this incident proves it," they are simply using this incident. She HAD money; PLENTY of money to get her son help. And I believe from what I'm reading that she did just that. Point being....NOT all the money in the world, NOR more and more laws can possibly thwart an incident like this. There's only 2 things as I see it that could have saved those children in THIS specific incidence:

    1) The Mom, KNOWING she had a 20-yr old living in the house who had a serious mental problem, should have gotten all guns out of the house. Yes, he could have still gotten a knife and probably would have killed her anyway....but he wouldn't have killed those innocent little children.

    2) At least some of the teachers and administrators at the school could have been armed....and fought back. I'll give an example: the school nurse hid under her desk and said she was peeking through the hole in the lower part of the desk where the computer cords go through....and saw the shooter come to her door, stop, look in and then move on when he saw no one. HAD she had a weapon with her, she could have pointed her gun through that hole, shot him in the knees, taking him down...

Some in Texas are doing just that......arming some of their teachers and administrators. No one will know which ones.......they are required to take a course on how to use it and gun safety.....and this school plans to LET IT BE KNOWN that school officials ARE armed. It should deter the nuts from picking that particular school. Killers go into unprotected areas; that's the places they pick. It's either this or have a couple retired officers armed and guarding the school. Our kids are worth it.
