The circular firing squad at the National Rifle Association claimed another victim on Thursday, as the gun rights group suspended its chief lobbyist for his alleged involvement in a failed coup attempt against NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre.

No myth at all, does that fact say it has to be a armed citizen? I could be shrewd and say cops are also armed citizens, but whether they be cops or an armed "civilian", both groups are good guys with a gun. Does your "fact" say that with so many active shooter situations being in gun free zones, very few civilians will have a gun close by?

The NRA at most gives a couple thousand to certain politicians. If it was that easy to buy a politician, I'd like to buy a few myself. In reality the politicians know how effective the NRA is in energizing their base when gun banners start getting traction and they fear getting tossed out of office. They saw what happened before and blame the NRA in order to silence those they disagree with. SOP for Lefties.

 

Second Amendment rights are not endangered by the myriad scandals currently tearing apart the corrupt NRA.

However, the exposure of the scam it has been running, inducing paranoia to fleece its members for personal lavish lifestyles, etc., will improve the prospects for Americans being better able to protect themselves and their families from the firearm carnage to which they have been subjected by the permissiveness the NRA, in service to gun manufacturers, has promoted.
