NY Times: Say, This Steele Dossier Appears To Be False (And Maybe Was A Russian Disinformation Effort)

So once again Fox News via actual and real investigative reporting done years ago was correct and the shoot from the political hip FOR the best interests of the DNC The New York Times was wrong, wrong, wrong.

    https://hotair.com/archives/2019/04/20/ny-times-say-steele-dossier-appears-false/

And I'm shutting it off there since to anyone with functioning brain cells it's obvious that all the NYT was ever doing from the get-go was help fabricate leftist propaganda hit pieces against Donald Trump that the editorial board KNEW was false from the get-go. As has become typical for America's newspaper of record, the NYT deliberately and repeatedly lied to this nation for self-serving political and ideological reasons. Enjoy.

In addition consider this. The NYT knew from the very beginning that the Trump Dossier was a political hit piece bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton to be used against Trump and that it came through the plausible deniability cut-outs of Fusion GPS and Steele via Russia before the NYT wrote the first article attacking Trump for what they already knew at the time that Trump . . . never . . . did.

They knew that it was actually Hillary Clinton colluding with the Russians to affect the outcome of the 2016 election and yet they gleefully went with it instead. That's America's News Paper of Record. Enjoy.

NYT is really just a propaganda outlet defending the status quo.

Sounds like fake news about fake news. :)

Oleg D. Kalugin, a former K.G.B. general who now lives outside Washington, saw that as plausible. “Russia has huge experience in spreading false information,” he said.

Mr. Steele declined to comment for this article. But Joshua A. Levy, a lawyer for Fusion GPS, the firm that commissioned the dossier, said the Mueller inquiry substantiated “the core reporting” in the Steele memos — including “that Trump campaign figures were secretly meeting Kremlin figures,” and that Russia’s president, Vladimir V. Putin, had directed “a covert operation to elect Donald J. Trump.”

While The New York Times and many other news organizations published little about the document’s unverified claims, social media partisans and television commentators discussed them almost daily over the past two years. The dossier tantalized Mr. Trump’s opponents with a worst-case account of the president’s conduct. And for those trying to make sense of the Trump-Russia saga, the dossier infused the quest for understanding with urgency.

Fusion GPS was commissioned by the right wing Washington Free Beacon as a potential tool to be used by candidates in the GOP RUNNING AGAINST Dirty Donald in the presidential primary. It did not wind up with the Democrats until AFTER Dirty Donald was already the GOP presidential nominee. It was shopped around at Washington cocktail parties for months.

Super secret foreign intelligence undercover operative >> MASKED by CIA / NSA / FBI exposes his own identity, and secret covert operation in the Kremlin with a DOZEN TABLOIDS ... :confuse: I'm guessing Steele's KGB "informants" laughed all the way to Deutsche Bank ... for decades. While depositing oodles of MI6's British Pound notes.

So a intell report that stated that Trump was engaged in business dealings with russians during the campaign, that campaign officials were meeting with russian operatives, and that putin was conducting a cyber campaign to influence the election, is phony because the mueller report proved that trump was continuing to do biz with russians during the campaign, that campaign officials frequently met with russians (and lied serially about it) and that russia was conducting an aggressive "direct measures" campaign to influence the election.

The stunning intellectual brilliance of trumpettes is truly dazzling.

That's well known but why, despite knowing that there were at least two Russians working on this phoney dossier for Christopher Steele, did the MSM, NY Times, and other media wholeheartedly buy into this propaganda? They know their audience, and citizens in a free society must accept that, but what were their motives? Or were they, like their audience, just caught up in the moment and too ignorant to really think rationally and ask some obvious questions?

Just a few of facts that were in the Steele dossier.

“Russian regime has been cultivating, supporting and assisting TRUMP for at least 5 years. Aim, endorsed by PUTIN, has been to encourage splits and divisions in western alliance.”

    — Steele memo 80, dated June 20, 2016

“There were other aspects to TRUMP’s engagement with the Russian authorities. One which had borne fruit for them was to exploit personal obsessions and sexual perversion in order to obtain suitable ‘kompromat’ [compromising material] on him.”

    — Memo 80

“Russia has extensive program of state-sponsored offensive cyberoperations.”

    — Memo 86, dated July 26, 2016

“Further evidence of extensive conspiracy between campaign team and Kremlin, sanctioned at highest levels and involving Russian diplomatic staff based in the US. Agreed exchange of information established in both directions.”

    — Memo 95, undated, probably July

“TRUMP associate admits Kremlin behind recent appearance of DNC e-mails on WikiLeaks, as means of maintaining plausible deniability.”

    — Memo 95

“This [coordination] was managed on the TRUMP side by the Republican candidate’s campaign manager, Paul MANAFORT, who was using foreign policy advisor, Carter PAGE, and others as intermediaries. The two sides had a mutual interest in defeating Democratic presidential candidate Hillary CLINTON, whom President PUTIN apparently both hated and feared.”

    — Memo 95

“TRUMP advisor Carter PAGE holds secret meetings in Moscow with [Rosneft president] SECHIN and senior Kremlin Internal Affairs official, DIVYEKIN. SECHIN raises issues of future bilateral US-Russia energy co-operation and associated lifting of western sanctions against Russia over Ukraine.”

    — Memo 94, dated July 19, 2016

“In terms of the substance of their discussion SECHIN’s associate said that the Rosneft President was so keen to lift personal and corporate western sanctions imposed on the company, that he offered PAGE associates the brokerage of up to a 19 percent (privatized) stake in Rosneft in return. PAGE had expressed interest and confirmed that were TRUMP elected US president, then sanctions on Russia would be lifted.”

    — Memo 134, dated Oct. 18, 2016

“Top level Russian official confirms current closeness of Alpha Group-PUTIN relationship. Significant favors continue to be done in both directions... and [Petr] AVEN still giving informal advice to PUTIN, especially on US.”

    — Memo 112, Sept. 14, 2016

"The Kremlin had more intelligence on CLINTON and her campaign but he did not know the details or when or if it would be released.”

    — Memo 96, dated July 30, 2016

“Russians do have further kompromat on CLINTON (e-mails) and considering disseminating it after Duma (legislative elections) in late September.”

    — Memo 111, dated Sept. 14, 2016

The NYT might be less credible than the Steele dossier lol. Look how the left keep going on and on about Russia, it is beyond disturbing. Go outside, take a walk, get some fresh air, eat a piece of chicken, maybe a salad and get some sun, maybe even watch some FNC to get some facts for a change.

Well I am aware that a certain % of the American population likes getting it up the butt, but most kinda think that foreign governments putting their thumbs on the democratic scales of America is a bad thing, worthy of punishing retaliation.

But I suppose you aren't at all surprised by the lyin' cheatin' crook being demonstrably derelict in his duty as commander in chief to defend the nation. IN fact you think its just fine in that weird "why can't we all just get along and make money" kinda of patriotic fervor.

You do realize that Christopher Steele wasn't hired to put the dossier together until after the Clinton campaign hired Fusion GPS?

DNC, Clinton campaign helped pay for anti-Trump dossier

"Mr. Steele has made clear to associates that he always considered the dossier to be raw intelligence — not established facts, but a starting point for further investigation."

I just came across an ad by the New York Times asking for subscriptions. It said: "The Truth Is Worth It" - believe it or not.

If the Piss Dossier was Russian disinformation that would make Comey, McCabe, Brennan, Clapper, et al the absolute dumbest, most easily suckered, and worst sonsabitches who ever held a job in U.S. intelligence
    .
But since the Piss Dossier was only politically sourced and funded in the U.S. and was total garbage, that makes Comey, McCabe, Brennan, Clapper, et al the absolute most dishonest, dumbest, most easily suckered, and worst sonsabitches who ever held a job in U.S. intelligence.

I would like to point out that there was one either RINO or Leftist on this board throughout this garbage attack on Trump BY RINOs and Leftist politicians and their media propagandists that always vociferously insisted that "The Trump Dossier was verified!" He or she always HOWLED that it was verified by 18 intelligence agencies and by -- I think -- the Dutch. But no; none of it was ever VERIFIED as true and factual in nature. But now it has finally been verified as being the propaganda infused Hit-Piece that THINKING PEOPLE recognized it as being from the very get-go. Enjoy.

    So?

You realize donald jr was deemed too ignorant to know he was potentially breaking the law, don't you? What's the point?

See post 15. All of that was confirmed in the mueller report to one degree or another. Seems they paid good money for good intell. and Fusion did a great recruiting job of getting a real expert in the field.
