Please list the states where they are not, if not organized under the command of the governor, in accordance with such regulations as Congress shall promulgate. - - - Updated - - - They are not legal in WA.
Don't bother, he thinks people can just take to the streets with guns enforcing their concept of law and order without a state or federal order.
I guess we know why Big Sis was buying all those bullets and armored vehicles because they sure aren't using them on the Southern border.
Reading the oath list posted on the website, it looks like they are promising not to obey unlawful orders. They sound more like community organizers than a militia. They aren't threatening to take up arms against the government, they're threatening NOT to violate citizens' rights, which they aren't supposed to do anyway. Of course what they talk about in their meetings could be very different from what they post on their website, who knows. No doubt the FBI has a couple people on the inside just to keep tabs.
Yes, this group seems worthy of respect. As for the kneejerk naysayers posting about this group, when an organization is up front about their belief system and reveal how they monitor and discipline their membership for rules infractions and they also reveal what good they intend to do in the world as an organization, presenting proof of what they do along the way, then it's all good . . . especially if what they proclaim then matches up with what they actually do. It's when you are looking over a groups like the Socialist or Marxists organizations and you can compare their claims to historical results whenever they have actually gotten their hands on the reigns of government power that you should feel a shiver of dread going up your spine.
why wait? Afraid? Militias are not unlawful...................show me the law that states militias are illegal, unlawful, or un-Constitutional Forget your emotional rant or opinion, and cough up the cite for your statement. RaHoWa................now that's just (*)(*)(*)(*)ing hilarious
What does the oath of office have to do with Voter suppression or it just the first topic you could think of to deflect this thread?
You know, if it stopped at IDs, the most people wouldn't have a problem. Unfortunately, for a GOP desperate to fill the hole that it's dying voting block is leaving, it doesn't stop there. There's: 1) Making it harder to register 2) Randomly purging voter rolls 3) Felony disenfranchisement 4) Reducing early voting 5) Reducing polling resource in specific areas 6) Disinformation campaigns by the right I'd be more impressed with organizations like the Oathkeepers if they were more than a bunch of paranoid gun-huggers with little to no interest in support any right not enumerated by the 2nd Amendment.
You might want to look at the more if you just think they are "gun-huggers" or you could remain ignorant on the matter up to you.
1) A good thing to limit number of illegal democratic voters 2) Lie 3) Lie 4) A good thing to try and make voting what it once were - a holiday and a celebration of one's civic responsibility 5) Lie 6) An outrageous Lie
Theres nothing for you to worry about, all obama has to do is tell the truth occasionally, and its all good. oh and it might be a good idea if he stopped arming known terrorist organizations commiting acts of terror in foreign courtries on our behalf. It makes us look like we're a state sponsor of terrorism, and we're supposed to be at war against that.... Ya know, Thats why obama made the patriot act permanent.
I can see where someone spouting RaHoWa conspiracy theories might have trouble getting their facts straight. Don't hold your breath waiting on that call to go shoot people...
Sorry, but unlawful militias are just that. Nobody elected the Oath Keeper leadership to usurp government powers. Keep your weapons at home when you protest government actions and if you are active duty military, obey orders. National Vanguard does not need any more deluded idiots to help them subvert the armed forces. If you are in law enforcement, obey orders or quit. The crap advocated on the OK web site is exactly what the white nationalist scum need you to do in the RaHoWa, and I think you know it.
OK are not a militia. You're making stuff up. And it's the gov that's been usurping powers, not the OK. Name one "government power" that's been usurped by the OK.
Just bear in mind that your Oath is to defend the Constitution. The Constitution states that the only legal means of changing the government is through elections or a Constitutional Convention. Any armed insurrection aimed at changing the government is unconstitutional and illegal and you are obligated to defend the Constitution from such insurrectionists. - - - Updated - - - The Constitution bans armed insurrection as a legal means of changing the government. Anyone who advocates armed insurrection is by definition not following the Constitution.
Who are you tell me what to bear in mind? And why do you think I need schooling on what the constitution says? You don't think I know what I took an oath to uphold and defend? I said I am an oath keeper. You seem to equate that with ignorance... very arrogant of you. Do you take issue with my statement that OK are good people? I also asked why we should be arrested or shot. You have an answer for that? Or do you disagree with the poster I was addressing?
Its an article dated Oct 1 2013 of course its current. Blogs are excepted on this site every day as a credible articles for current events /shrug
Rule number 10 please proof your claim that the Oath Keepers have anything to do with racism. I have also shown they are legal but you keep claiming they are not. Please document your proof or further expose yourself as a fraud. - - - Updated - - - You obey LAWFUL orders that is the whole point..... You dont just "follow orders" that leads to (*)(*)(*)(*) like Nazi Germany and we found plenty of people guilty for war crime that were "just following orders".
