Obama was the one without scandals, and as far as an administrator he was one of the greats.

Johnson may have been the greatest, after FDR of course. FDR brought the working man into the middle class. Johnson cut poverty in half and gave us environmental protections. He gave us Medicare and Medicaid, and Obama took the first steps to expanding these to everyone.

Pretty much everything the Republicans rail against, is what Johnson has given us. Especially those in the South who like to practice voter suppression, as it was Johnson who got passed voter rights and expanded civil rights. It was Johnson who drove the worse parts of the Democratic Party into the waiting arms of the Republicans.

Cheap. Your entire post is a cheap cop out flame bait nonsense.

Obama sucked because he was an anti-business government fixes everything Democrat. It took him twice as long to recover an inherited bad economy.

Aside from all the scandals, the one that will totally destroy his legacy is #SPYGATE.

The polls stated since WWII. Growing up the historians usually ranked the top three presidents as Washington, Lincoln and FDR. Nowadays, it usually is Lincoln, FDR and then Washington. Doesn't really matter, all three are listed as the great presidents followed by the near great.

Eisenhower has moved up from 21st 1962 to 6th today. It seems as more information is released on him from his library the more that is being found IKE accomplished behind the scenes. You have your top three, Washington, FDR and Lincoln followed by Teddy Roosevelt, Jefferson and Eisenhower.

There's a lot more polls and rankings here.

I'm pretty sure it is, even though we are supposed to pretend it is otherwise. wink wink I'm also pretty sure that a certain segment of the Democratic party left and joined the Republican Party, for the same reason, after Johnson's successes.

It was Johnson's trouncing of Goldwater, that turned the Republican Party bad. It was that defeat that propelled them to create things like the Heritage Foundation and FOX News to misinform, the misinformable. This is when the seeds of the current conservative/Republican love affair with Trump were planted.

I wonder what it is, why you really hate him, as the economy under him continually improved.

My dislike for Obama had nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with his policies.

Unlike left-wingers, I don't vote based on skin color.

Imagine how much sooner the economy could have turned around if not for congressional Repub sabotage of the recovery. Under the "King of Debt" they approved a tax cut that will cause trillions in extra deficit spending while the economy was growing at a trend rate of 2-2.5%. While Obama was prez and the country needed massive stimulus to keep us out of a depression all the Repubs did was talk about how we couldn't spend more because of the deficit.

    Latest forecast: 1.3 percent — June 3, 2019
The GDPNow model estimate for real GDP growth (seasonally adjusted annual rate) in the second quarter of 2019 is 1.3 percent on June 3, up from 1.2 percent on May 31. A decline in the nowcast of second-quarter real nonresidential structures investment growth from -0.9 percent to -6.9 percent after this morning’s construction spending report from the U.S. Census Bureau was more than offset by increases in the nowcasts of second-quarter real residential investment growth and second-quarter real government expenditures growth from -1.6 percent and 0.7 percent, respectively, to -0.3 percent and 2.0 percent, respectively, after the same report.

    ........................................................................................................................................
What did we get from the budget busting tax cut? A temporary boost to GDP at a cost of trillions in additional debt. All so Individual 1 could help the Repubs hold on to the House to keep him from being held accountable for his lie and reckless idiocy........a strategy that failed miserably.

Ever notice how much less it was under Bush? Was not there a net job loss under Bush? Where not there 60,000 less companies at the end of his presidency, as at the beginning?

Imagine how much sooner the economy would have recovered if Obama and the Democrats didn't burden the America people and businesses with tons of new regulations, new taxes, and the disastrous ObamaCare.

    Just imagine.

If the left gets to claim that his policies fixed the economy, we get to criticize the pace at which those policies made the correction, and thus if other policies would have had a different effect.

I don't have a problem with differences of opinion, but I prefer them to be grounded in fact. The fact is the Obama didn't inherit a bad economy, Obama inherited an economic disaster headed for another Great Depression.

Even George Bush came to this conclusion and took whatever action he could in his last month in office to stave it off. Bush told Treasury Secretary Paulson, "If this is as bad as it looks, I want to go down as another FDR, not another Hoover."

The world financial sector, the world equity markets, and global housing markets collapsed. Capital dried up, job losses were running 750,000 a month with no letup in sight. GM and Chrysler eventually declared bankruptcy. Automotive dealer bankruptcies were legend. Most mortgage Companies failed in an avalanche of defaults. Investment banks failed and Wall Street shed trillions of dollars of value.

In fear of investment bank and brokerage house failures, two trillion dollars left money markets for the safety of T-bills. In my many years, I have never seen anything approaching this economic disaster. Obama and his economic team and the Federal Reserve went it a code red. One fact that escapes many is that the government "bailouts" were loans. They were all paid back to the government's general fund at a profit. Obama did well while the GOP did nothing but gripe.

Most conservatives reject non-conservatives..go play your race card elsewhere....it didn't work in 2016 and it probably won't in 2020...maybe your people should start getting elected based on POLICY (you know, the main part of POLItics)

If it offends you so bad, why do you continue to say horrible things about Obama, with mostly, less than honorable arguments?
