This latest CNN/ORC International Poll clearly shows that Barack Obama is losing the support of the blue collar Democrats.

The only people who support Obama today are the very rich, whom he has been very good to, and the very poor who continue to foolishly believe his insincere promises to them.

"Half of all white Democrats with no college education say they don't want President Obama heading their party's ticket next year."

"Washington (CNN) - Although President Barack Obama's overall approval rating remains somewhat steady, his standing among Democrats, and in particular among blue-collar Democrats, appears to have dropped, according to a new national survey.

According to a CNN/ORC International Poll released Wednesday, 44% of Americans say they approve of the job the president's doing in the White House, with 54% saying they disapprove of how Obama is handling his duties. The president's approval rating has hovered in the same mid-40's range since June in CNN surveys.

But the poll indicates that there has been some change when Democrats are asked whether they want to see their party renominate Obama, with 26% of Democrats saying that they would prefer the party to nominate another Democrat for president next year, up from 18% in October.

"The biggest change comes among white Democrats with no college education, a group typically considered the core of the party's blue-collar constituency," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "Half of all white Democrats with no college education say they don't want President Obama heading their party's ticket next year."

The CNN survey indicates that the president's signature piece of domestic legislation - last year's health care reform bill - remains unpopular, although some of the opposition comes from people who think the bill should have gone farther. Thirty-eight percent favor the new health care law; 37% oppose it because they think it is too liberal and another 14% oppose it because they believe it is not liberal enough.

The CNN poll was conducted by ORC International from November 18-20, with 2,019 adult Americans, including 1,504 Democrats and independents who lean Democratic questioned by telephone. The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points.

I think they left out another Demographic....

    The very rich
    The very poor
    The public union members

Private Union members are starting to reject the Democratic Party and I believe that will continue. Blue Collar working Americans will continue to leave the Democratic Party in greater numbers.

Your comments prove the Left is terrified of Mitt Romney.

They instinctively know Romney has positive pro-growth policies and Barack Obama has negative pro-growth policies.

Under Barack Obama's negative growth policies, the number of people who own homes in America (64.5%) is now the lowest it has been since 1997.

I doubt that I need to look at it to know that it's what's being referred to as "Bush on steroids".

Sure it is. Anytime we disagree with this President we are only doing it because of his race. Get back to us when you grow up.

    You are correct, Piscivorous.

Anyone who does not agree with the policies of this foolish president must be a racist at heart!

They aren't making as much money because Obama is an incompetent idiot pushing bad economic policies.

But what did we expect from a welfare baby who knows nothing about the private sector?

The problem is Obama ran on wages lost under Bush. Now the loss has gotten even worse. Obama is losing votes he had in 2008

Well then call me a racist. I dislike anyone who tries to ruin our country by instilling liberal policies.

There AREN'T that many deadbeats, and a lot of them don't vote anyway (too much effort, I guess). Try looking at things as they are rather than seeking simplistic-sounding explanations that are wrong. Obama got the Democratic vote (blacks, hispanics, unions, many other minorities, bleeding heart liberals, traditional Democrats, many lawyers) and he also got more young people and black people than usual to come out and vote for him, as well as a good chunk of the Independents.

Now he has the advantage of incumbency but has lost a lot of that crusade for Hope and Change feeling. What the Republicans need to do is keep those momentary voters from deciding to vote again and win back some Independents into their camp. If they can fool some blue collar white males into thinking Romney will have their interests more to his heart than Obama did, all the better for Romney: just don't fool yourself that either man cares about that demographic group.

Did you see the coverage of the public event where Obama officially launched his re-election campaign?

A seeping panoramic view of the audience who attend the event clearly showed most (60-65%) of the seats in the large public auditorium were empty!

So you really hate about half the country? That's a lot of hate!

I generally think it's bad policy to hate. I find it interferes with understanding, and I would like to understand the reasoning of the opposition, so I can learn from it. You never know, you might be wrong, but you will never get to the point of understanding as long as you are hung up on hatred and judgement.

I won't be voting for Obama because he has moved too far to the right!
I.E Military tribunals, not prosecuting those who committed torture under international law and standards, re-signing the so-called "patriot" act, signing the NDAA, HR 347, the list goes on, and on, and on. He has way too much in common with GWB for my taste.

Since I am kinda new here it may be worth mentioning that I am so far left I feel like I'm closer to the "far right" libertarians than the main stream left. I'll probably end up voting for Gary Johnson.
