    His post is correct, and SFJEFF has been, in my experience, generally completely correct on this issue. And that is in my opinion as an actual credentialed legal expert.

    Obama released LATE c/o sites like DailyKos et.al. a short form
    BC back in June of '08.It was never officially authenticated and
    led to valid criticism that is wasn't an original BC or Long form.
    This led to gazillions of excuses by both officials in Hawaii and
    also Obama surrogates as to why Obama decided to submit a
    short form vs. an original of Long Form.
    The long form Obama made public was a joke.An Obvious computer
    generated fake.So bad it was speculated Obama did it on purpose
    to keep the Birther movement going.
    Obama surrogates and those in the Obama campaign used the
    " Birther " movement to exploit and attack anyone daring to question
    the validity of Obama the Greats Americaness.It worked. "Birthers"
    were easily demonized because it became the new cause celebre.
    Not based on substance of even a new name because the First
    " Birthers " were actually those who went after McCain's Birth
    certificate and being born on foreign soil.Jonathan Turley and Jake
    Tapper among the first to classify use of the name ... :

    The point being that McCain didn't waste a lot of time and
