Trump is making speeches for Democrats in today's election by claiming he is the one who started it and in a round about way insinuating that Trump is only riding on his coat tails. How is that when over 90% of his job creation was service jobs mixed with hundreds of thousands of part time jobs. When he lost over 300,000 manufacturing jobs and said those jobs are not coming back? Well they are not only back, but millions of other jobs came back with them.
Obama is a pathetic little weasel. He seriously expects us to believe that for eight years he had a stagnant economy and his policies didn't kick in until the day he left office and Trump took over. What a joke.
He found out about his entire administration from the media; he claimed to have been a bystander. But when Trump turns around the mess he made, Obama all of a sudden claims to have been the genius in charge. Quite pathetic.
Trump was handed a growing economy with shrinking deficits. Obama was handed a disaster; GNP down by 10 %, 750,000 jobs lost per month, DJIA down by 60%, a bankrupt auto industry, and a housing and financial sector on the ropes. In eight years, Obama brought the economy back to positive ground and pushed the DJIA above previous highs. Trump had nothing to do with this recovery. The "low paying service jobs" the RW loves to mention included growth in health care, finance, engineering, energy production, and other high paying sectors. Jobs coming back? Most of the jobs mentioned by RW supporters were already in the plans for the companies most frequently mentioned. Business doesn't turn on a dime. Trump's largest accomplishment is another trillion added to the National Debt.
Trump must have that magic wand Obama was talking about. Remember new normal? Remember managed decline? Remember pallets of cash to the Palestinians while Americans hurt at home?
A disaster the Democrats helped the Republicans create. As a matter of fact, that disaster was caused by the housing fiasco which the Democrats were up to their neck to help create. No 750,000 lost per month, in a month. That would wind up being more people than America has.The auto industry was in serious trouble even before the crash and it was Bush that started the bail out of GM and Chrysler in his final weeks in office. Obama only carried on from there and tried to take all the credit for it. It was also Bush that bailed out the banks. You can't have a recovery if people can't buy and borrow. Yes the economy began to recover under Obama. When your in the basement there is nowhere to go but up. Obama spent about 9 trillion dollars trying to build an economy, but not in the kind of jobs that would create more good jobs. Very little was spent on infrastructure. He gave millions to solar companies without checking them out or getting any kind of commitment from them. One company got over 100 million dollars and soon after filed bankruptcy as the technology was already obsolete. Several others took the money and moved to China. He spent billions on making the teacher' police and fire unions happy by bringing thousands of them back from layoffs only to see them laid off again when the money ran out. He spend billions more on building bike paths, turtle crossings, seeding government lawn, the arts, dune bug trails. Jobs that would soon be over just as soon as the job was done and didn't help create more permanent type jobs or really help our aging infrastructure. He poured on record regulations on companies and hit them with the highest corporate tax in the whole industrial world, which only drove out over 300,000 good manufacturing jobs. His health insurance that drove up the price of insurance on most everyone did at least create quite a few jobs. Don't give Obama any credit for energy production, at least in all the new oil that was found. He was strictly against fossil fuel as an energy. Hundreds of thousands of jobs were created in that industry no thanks to him. Trump was working with business just as soon as he was elected and before being sworn in. He told them of what his plans were and how it could help their business. Back breaking regulations was the first thing he did. He gathered some of the biggest corporation in the nations together just a month or so in office and got commitments from many of them.
