This can be decribed as fascistic legislation. That's just uncontroversial.

Some Republicans - not Conservatives - promoted the concept of a health care madate. Republican and conservative are not equivalent. There are many republicans that are statists/socialist. McCain is a great example of a rep who is not a conservative.

Who came up with the idea is irrelevent. Its a bad idea no matter who promotes it.

The business interests in the Republican Party like the the idea of mandatory insurance because it puts the burden of paying for health insurance on their employees rather than them. Once everyone is forced to buy health insurance, there will be no more talk of forcing the employer to provide health insurance, which is what business owners fear most. I think many congressmen in the Republican Party are just pretending to be against Obama Care to score political points and appeal to their voters. But once their feigned opposition has outlived its usefulness, they will just let it pass and then blame the Democrats. They do not even have to vote in favor of it to let it pass, all they have to do is avoid waging any serious opposition.

98% of the people who call themselves conservatives these days, vote Republican.

98% of the people who call themselves conservatives these days, will vote for Romney.

98% of the people who call themselves conservatives these days, are against abortion

98% of the people who call themselves conservatives these days, are white Chrsitians

98% of the people who call themselves conservatives these days, are against gay marriage.

There is very very little difference.

Republicans calling themselves conservatives instead of Republicans, was just a solution offered by the RNC to offer Bush Republicans an identity to hide under, untill they could saddle Obama, and "libruls"...with the blame for the economy.

AEI and the Heritage Foundation are not moderate or conservative. They are far right wing extremist institutions.

    Hyperbole.

Obviously you have been under a rock for the past 4 years and missed all the action.

So the public has a choice between a candidate that signed into law the AEI-Heritage Foundation bailout for the insurance industry and a candidate that signed into law the AEI-Heritage Foundation bailout for the insurance industry. Nah, there is no democratic deficit here.

So what else does this tell us? Those that have been calling Obama a socialist really dont know what socialism is. They call him a socialist simply because they saw a "D" by his name on television. His program serves the power elite who dominate the society.

This is right wing legislation and Obama supporters continue to defend it. People with no principals who conform to the dear leader's program.

I know how this will play out if Romney/Ryan get in the will let the Democratic minority in the Senate stonewall an appeal on grounds ,justified, they cannot just repeal the financial portions and leave the rest and when it kicks in they will toss up their hands and go - we tried. If Obama/Biden get in then the issue is mute. Either way the law is pretty safe but might get at most some needed tweaks.

The Supreme Court sided with the administration on it, declaring clearly unconstitutional legislation as constitutional. You dont have to be a constitutional scholar to understand this. The government can tax, they cant penalize Americans for not buying a service or product from a private corporation. Even the Obama white house contradicted the Supreme Court's ruling, saying that Obamacare is a penalty, not a tax: ABC News; White House: Sorry, Roberts, Obamacare mandate is a penalty, not a tax

I am impartial in this context. I am in favor of technology and development not in favor of any human being.
