Operation Choke Point was a plot by President Obama’s Department of Justice, the Federal Deposit Insurance Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and other government agencies to cut off banking and financial services for small businesses and industries that they deemed to be political enemies or otherwise undesirable. Some of these businesses included gun stores, ammunition shops, fireworks stores, small dollar lenders, and home-based charities.' It's rather well known that the leadership and elected politicians of the New Democratic Party try to use courts and regulatory agencies to control the population, rather than Congress and the people. It should not be a surprise voters are not integral to their agenda.
As has been observed in recent months, operation choke point is still up and running, as banks are still being pressured to not do business with anyone involved in firearms, be it manufacturers, federally licensed firearm dealers, or the NRA.
