On this July 4th holiday I am convinced that America still holds the solution to our problems
    July 4, 2022…

…Two hundred forty six years ago today, the American experiment was born. In our birth certificate, the Declaration of Independence, our Founding Fathers spelled out the fundamental rights given to us all by our Creator. They envisioned a nation built on freedom and fairness.

In the centuries that followed we often failed, but more often succeeded, in our journey toward a "more perfect union." The resilience embedded in the DNA of America is what has united generations of citizens—people of all backgrounds—to come together to make the founders’ vision a reality.

This is a country that allowed me, the son of a single mom who raised her two Black sons in the South, to become a U.S. Senator representing the home of the Civil War. Where else on Earth is that possible?…

…But while we live in the most connected, fair, and scientifically advanced time in human history, it often feels as though we’ve never been more disconnected and divided over the core truths that form the foundation of our nation.

America is the beacon on the hill. It is the great land of opportunity that made my story of limitless potential possible.

In my April 2021 response to President Biden’s Joint Address to Congress I said that America is not a racist country. What some people heard is that race is no longer an issue. The idea that there are no threads of racism in the fabric of this nation would be just as preposterous as the revisionist history pushed by those who want to rewrite our story for 1619, reframing it as oppressed versus oppressor. What I said and what people heard couldn’t be further apart.

U.S. Senator Tim Scott is exactly right about all that he wrote in the article above. America is not a racist country. We are that beacon of light shining upon the world from our shining city on a hill. America is the land of opportunity. We really do have a lot of good to celebrate today.

I would be proud to vote for him and address him as President Scott in the very near future. He is the living embodiment of the American Dream. :gop::flagus:

I can see how one who chooses to represent themselves here as Satan would think that.

Given that you are of the side whose Supreme Court justices apparently believe that Joseph Kennedy kneeling in prayer at the 50-yard line was apparently tantamount to Congress establishing a religion, which would be a theocracy, it appears that your perception of what a theocracy is, is lacking.

The issue here is the message of hope and opportunity that America is and how his life from single parent childhood poverty to the US Senate as an African American proves it.

Trump reaching out to African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Asian Americans as part of a religion friendly tolerant small business, middle, and working class multi racial coalition assured it. Watching people on tv from all of the above talking Trump policy ideas is very heartening.

    Asian-Americans abandoning Democrats

"They are bringing George Washington back to George Washington High School in San Francisco."

KQED reported three summers ago, "The San Francisco Board of Education voted Tuesday to paint over a mural series showing George Washington."

"In February, San Francisco voters voted overwhelmingly to recall three of the seven board members. The board got the hint, changed its mind and allowed the mural to stay unmolested."

"It wasn't just the painting. It was also lowering the admissions standards of Lowell, the city’s most prestigious public high school, to increase its black student population. The rule changes dropped enrollment for Asian Americans by 25%. That woke up the tiger moms."

"NBC reported, "Asian Americans, galvanized by rising crime rates and violent attacks against elders, appeared to be a driving force in Tuesday’s recall election that ousted San Francisco’s reformist District Attorney Chesa Boudin."

Under the 14th Amendment, America has no second class citizens.
