    Well golly...who could have seen this coming? Three words sum it up...Incompetency... Greed...Sociopathy.

    Whatever Trump touches dies.

    Isn't it a bit out of taste to use the word "dies" considering that we're talking about someone's kid here? To me, there's no perfect answer. You can't homeschool all of them given the adults needs of working. And the unfortunate truth that there's disruption to their lives which can impact them as well. Ideally we could test these children before they enter school, we could use it as a projection for how many adults are infected

    How do you think that would work best? Test kids every day before school? Test every adult that works at the school? How often? I admit that I don't have a solution. It's a logistical nightmare.

    Here's an example of what school *could* be like this year.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The camp implemented several precautionary measures against the virus, but stopped short of requiring campers to wear masks. The virus blazed through the community of about 600 campers and counselors, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported on Friday.
    The staff and counselors gathered at the overnight camp in late June. Within a week of the camp orientation, a teenage counselor developed chills and went home.
    The camp, which the C.D.C. did not name, started sending campers home the next day, and shut down a few days later. By then, 76 percent of the 344 campers and staffers whose test results were available to C.D.C. researchers had been infected with the virus — nearly half the camp.
    Trying to hide from a virus is pure insanity.
    Millions of years of evolution have equipped mammals to deal with them, and allowing Democrats to burn the country down in a fear-mongering OCD frenzy is not the solution.
    It must run its course.
    Unfortunately that's not how it works; they could test negative and the next day contract it and pass it along to other kids/adults unknowingly.
    I'm sure if the 154,000 people who died from covid-19 could speak from the grave they might disagree with you.
    Pretty much the entire herd is or has been infected. The upside to that is that herd immunity grows every day.
    I'm sure that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever read here.
    And I'm being nice.
    You can cower, but I intend to live my life and support my family, as soon as I get off of quarantine.
    Let's pray you don't contract covid-19. It could be an eye opener for you and those you may infect through no fault of their own.
    Things everyone should know about the ChiFlu:
    - You've had it, have it, or will get it
    - Unless you have serious co-morbidities which would make a cold, flu or similar illnesses dangerous to you, you'll likely be fine by overwhelming odds
    - The ChiFlu Hoax is the most dangerous popularly supported mass delusion since Nazism
    - Don't be a ChiFlu Hoax dupe
    Unfortunately, the bigger problem is that infected kids will infect the teachers. Yeah, the kids are at very low risk. The teachers that are older and/or have health risks are putting their lives on the line to open the schools.
    Key word here is "likely". some healthy adults will have life-long medical ailments as a result of contracting the covid-19 virus; it is estimated that 75% of adult survivors who were healthy prior to contracting covid-19 will suffer from some heart aliments for the rest of their life; if not now, then down the road; others will suffer from respiratory issues such as shortness of breath or other pulmonary issues; others neurological issues. Some will suffer no ill effects so basically you are rolling the dice with your health and life.
    The VAST majority will be fine by an overwhelming number.
    But some people will die in car crashes.
    A lot of people will die of cancer.
    Respiratory Disease will take many.
    Strokes.
    Alzheimer's.
    Diabetes.
    The flu.
    Pneumonia.
    And most people will die because their hearts gave out for all kinds of reasons.
    The ChiFlu Hoax is the most dangerous popularly supported mass delusion since Nazism.
    Don't be a COVIDupe.
    Everybody dies when their heart stops beating. I'm a first responder so I've seen it all. Not much more to be said. You do what you have to do and I'll do what I have do and we'll both be happy.
    And, not just teachers. Countless adults will be at risk:
    kitchen staff
    bus drivers
    after school program staff
    tutors
    office staff
    aides
    etc.
    It is not practical to test everyone every day even if they adopted the hospital's protocol of taking everyone's temperature upon entry because there could be asymptomatic carriers that can spread it without realizing it.
    I'm not sure how you got that, considering I agreed with the "science" you posted.
