Unfortunately, the Bell Curve is used by racists to advance their agenda.

All of the schools do offer honors courses and higher-level math classes. You know who are in those courses and classes? The Asian students who are earning acceptance into the elite high schools.

It's not a lack of opportunity for the black students. NYC mayor de Blasio spent over $700 million giving blacks students educational opportunities. $700 million- 7 black students earned a Stuyvesant spot.

    Experiment failure.

    Screen Shot 2019-03-20 at 6.12.56 PM.png

Opportunities and special programs and honors courses and hundreds of millions of dollars won't accomplish anything when you've got a community with a culture that isn't just non-academic, but is aggressively anti-academic. Inner-city black culture is downright hostile towards education.

Don't believe me? Take this guy's word for it...

43% of the students who attend Stuyvesant High School are considered economically disadvantaged.

Can we please dispense with the nonsense that this is a "rich kid" and/or a "rich white kid" thing?

yes, the richer kids are the ones admitted without a list... the poor have to fight to get admitted cause it's the richer school

but your right, it's not just about money of the students, it's who the rich kids want around them.. and appears it's not blacks be they rich or poor as what percent of that 43% is black? what percent of the 47% is black?

Long before computers could fit into homes my parents who was only middle class would as a young child aid me doing my homework and as I got older would buy me slide rulers and vacuum tubes VOM meters and so on such as log log tables and a mechanical adding machine to go along with the tables.

I was the only student in middle school that would from time to time pull out an old copy of the chemistry and physics handbook that I had picked up by getting my parents to drive me miles from home to a special second hand book store.

Now that might had not been wise as for example using the information from a science fiction book by the name of the gunpowder god and chemicals from both a chem set and a microscope set mixed good old fashion gun powder.

Setting it off when my parents was not home with the explosion safety contain in a open on top large metal can.

Damn container rang like a bell an my hearing was not the same for days.

In any case, you do not need to have rich parents just have parents that will go the extra mile or more to meet your needs and your interests.

I don't know what you mean by "a list", but the only kids admitted, are the kids who score highest on the admittance test. If you think otherwise, then citations will be needed.

There were a number of Republican candidates who didn't cheat on their wives, weren't serial liars, didn't cheat their sub-contractors by declaring bankruptcy, didn't run fake schools, were against abortion, were free market advocates ...
Yet they went for Trump. So I'm going to say that they made this bed by selling their souls for 20 pieces of silver.

All the kids in m county go to the same schools which are adequately funded and the racial results are pretty much the same.

America climbed into bed with Stalin to defeat Hitler. Weird how humans will support other humans who have a common cause with them. Moralize all you want but this not a Republican thing, it is a human thing. Discerning what is one's own self interest and acting on that self interest is a trait that all humans alive have..... those did not have this trait went extinct. This is why moralizations from the left are meaningless to the right and why moralizations from the right are meaningless to the left.

    30.

I'm not an evangelical anymore, but I and many evangelicals voted for other candidates in the primaries. Overall, the vote was split among evangelicals with many choosing other candidates specifically for some of the reasons you mentioned, while those who did vote for Trump did so on his chances for winning rather than his moral virtues.

"Recent surveys have found that Trump is a “huge loseramong Protestant pastors, and that evangelical leaders are solidly split on presidential picks. Reuters and others have found that church attendance distinctly decreases evangelical support for Trump, who has the least-religious supporters among the GOP candidates."

    https://www.christianitytoday.com/n...gelicals-vote-donald-trump-super-tuesday.html

As for "made this bed", I'd say the religious right did pretty well out of that election. The great Satan Hillary was defeated and two solid conservatives have been chosen for the Supreme Court. "The devil can cite Scripture for his purpose." Shakespeare I don't believe in God anymore, but perhaps God can use immoral men for moral purposes.

NYC public schools are THEE best-funded public schools in the nation (approx $24,000 per student/year)

Can we please dispense with the nonsense that a lack of funding is the problem?

Utah is dead last in per-pupil spending (approx $7000 per student/year), and they still manage to significantly outperform NYC public schools academically.

What do you think it is? The altitude? Is the problem barometric?

This doesn't make sense. Please explain how a "first come, first serve" public school would work.

Of course you would say that. Because in your mind Hillary would have been better for the Country. Oh and don't come with that **** that it could have been someone else.

As those were the only choices.

I wasn't talking about religious schools, but I guess separation of church and state has something to do with it. Rich kids go to college preps like Collegiate and Brearly. There are plenty of others.

You really do NOT know what you are talking about. They don't put your ethnicity on the answer sheet. If you want to complain, you should be talking about the really bad elementary and junior high schools in NYC. THEY are the ones who don't teach well enough to get these kids in. That's the Democrat way-they want to raise taxes for better educations which they don't give. Into whose pocket does all the money go, because it isn't in the schools. Get rid of the union and perhaps things would get better, so that bad teachers are FIRED.

You can vector in perfectly fine that people from real poor parents get bonus points for free on admission.
Nothing false about it. If Asians social economic position is far better than a lot of black people, than they do not get them free points.
