Want to know how Republicans can really meddle in the Democrat primaries? Rush Limbaugh told Republicans to vote for Obama against Crooked Hillary. Look how that turned out. We may have gotten a lousy President for 8 years, but in my opinion, Obama was not as bad as Crooked Hillary. We saved the nation from the Clintons. Let's do it again! OPEN PRIMARIES: If like me, you are in a state that has open primaries, you should cast your vote for a Democrat. But don't vote for the #1 or #2 leaders in the delegate count. Vote for the #3 or #4 or even #5 candidate, no matter who they are. There are 51 primary elections, not counting territories. We can vote enough delegates for the 3rd, 4th, 5th place finishers to deny the front runner a majority of delegates on the first ballot. NON-OPEN PRIMARIES: Register as a Democrat. Do the same as above. Trump will be virtually unopposed. He will easily win the nomination. If we get enough Republicans voting in the Democrat primaries, we will literally screw their convention up with a nasty floor fight. It will be total chaos. Who is willing to join me?
That's a good way to end up with a President Warren instead of a President Biden ... kind of cutting off your nose to spite your face. And ending up with a one party system is really, really stupid.
No, that's a good way to ensure that when the general election comes around that Democrats will be so divided and the eventual nominee so badly battered by the convention fight that Trump win a second term easily.
Why is that? Why do you think it would be so divisive as to field a 3rd party candidacy? Rush Limbaugh as a political strategist? I could see republicans voting for the candidate they they would have Trump face. I would think that the repubs would want it to go to the convention and if it goes to the convention it will be Biden and Tulsi with the dems senators staying in their seats. Biden will have the party faithful and Tulsi will be a bone to the progressive wing.
Has anyone ever estimated how many non-Democrats voted for Hillary in 2008 to keep her close behind? Don't forget that not only made that a closer finish but let her believe she earned those votes, so that kept good people out of the 2016 Democratic race, making her the winner and overall loser. I think however that Operation Chaos II took place in 2016 when Democrats-with no doubt ever about Hillary's victory-turned Republican for 5 minutes to vote for Trump and give her the weakest possible opponent. It didn't work and cost her a few close primaries early in the race. Republicans should vote for a Democrat in the primary, the one you could live with if he happened to win. Biden was that person the last 7 times. Who else among the present list could you put up with for 4 years?
No, we vote for the weakest of the bunch in 2nd - 5th place. But with such a terrible choice of 20 terrible candidates it's impossible to decide who's the worst. Camel Hairs is a fake black woman who's family got wealthy off of slavery. Corey Booker is a fake poor black kid who also grew up privileged in a wealthy neighborhood with wealthy parents and went to the best schools. Warren is a fake Indian. Sanders is a fake socialist millionaire. Tulsi Gabbard is endorsed by David Duke so she's out. Biden is a plagiarist so he's fake. Is there anyone who isn't fake on the Democrats side?
You're remembering that wrong. Limbaugh had voters in open primary states vote for Hillary, to prolong the primary race as long as possible.
Okay. I believe you're right. Thank you for correcting me. *Shows I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong.
I am promoting Bernie and will vote for him. If Bernie can beat everyone out and make it as the DNC candidate, Trump will wipe the floor with him. Bernie will be lucky to get 50 million total votes, more like 30 million. Total. Even with all the ballot box stuffing and the 10 million illegal votes. Nobody wants that jackwagon on the ballot. Vote for Bernie and promote him far and wide. Then once the election starts, it's all Trump all day. BTW, in the event Bernie actually won, it would be 4 years of nothing getting done. Nobody will go along with his stupid policies. He will have no support in the Congress or the Senate. Virtually none.
I luv the ardor, lol!... I just think that this Gen. Election is already a foregone conclusion. Biden, at this point & imho, is the last viable recourse for the DNC - PERIOD! The rest of the 20 or so 'rift raft' candidates just amount to fringe, flashes in the pan - un-electable, cheerleaders for the Marxist cause. (Sorry y'all) Though 'in fad' right now w/ their 'echo-chambering' / 'adorating' base / MSM bullworks - 2020 "candidates" don't have a chance in hell of winning in the 'general' against DJT! Sanders is the only one of them who is not a 'flash in the pan', however, America ain't (& I hope never will be) - ready for Sander's Communist BS! As I see it, 1.3 yr's from now, it's Biden or Bust... & I'd be lying to you if I thought that Trump had it locked down; Biden is (much to my chagrin) VERY formidable!
Remember, despite Biden's obvious detriments... (plagiarism, "top of his class", nepotism quagmire / familial perks / son's Ukrainian enrichment on our tax "dime"... etc. etc. ) Biden has some elementary, yet pivitol things going for him... - Name recognition / (B- for Biden) at the top of the now lengthy ballot (don't overestimate the ineptitude of the Dem's uninformed constituency (Tks, LBJ) on the DEM primary ballot there is only a candidate's name (w/o even a 'D' next to it) for them low information DEM voters to pick from... "eenie meenie mine moe"... (Tragic Reality that I commend Ben Carson for decrying) - Should it go to a convention, the SUPER Delegates are all "traditional" Dems & are 'flatulently' sealed in Biden's back pocket! LOL...
I'm a democrat and I plan to vote for Andrew Yang. You might vote for democrats to spoil the democatic primay, but I heard that many republicans became disappointed that they couldn't vote in the republican primary afterwords.
The Republican primary is a foregone conclusion. If you want to have a real impact on the race, it makes sense for Republicans to vote in the Democratic primaries.
