I guess a Christian could also not claim a religious objection to BURNING the Bible! :roflol:

So I didn't say what you claimed I said?

    I accept your apology.

    Let's see if this matches.

"Well, you said that things which the Bible lists as things which people should object to, are the ONLY things that Christians should object to."

I'll make bold all the words that are different and my post from what you claimed my post said.

"The religious angle fails because there's nowhere in the Bible that it says not to make products or provide services to people who are gay."

So the only place in this entire strawman where you actually said a word and meant the same thing I said when I said it is where you said the word bible other than that your statement is a complete brain child of your own making and I take no ownership of the things you say I still stand by what I said.

So then what's the relevance of whether or not something is specifically outlawed in the Bible?

It's to highlight that there aren't religious objections.

When people say that they are lying.

So there aren't religious objections, unless the Bible says that something should be objected to?

I would be thrilled to hear the religious objections to selling a particular type of baked good to someone who will use it at some ceremony.

I've been asking you this for like 3 weeks and you haven't been able to come up with anything.

Okay, so now you're moving away from your "there's nowhere in the Bible that it says" argument! And no wonder! It was a TERRIBLE argument! :roflol:

I don’t need religion to despise homosexuals. Anyone who defines themselves solely on their sexual activities and is proud of it is a perv in my opinion and deserves no attention from anyone

No I'm standing by it. I've always stood by it. No idea why you pretend otherwise.

Maybe someone here knows the biography of the baker better than I do. Did he by any chance make one cake for a gay wedding, bachelor party or divorce party, feel guilty, then repent and form a list that would keep his conscience clear for life?
This young lady was back in church for the third week. I didn't ask why but found out my wife was paying her. So her principles were for sale.
I don't know what her long term plans are but there is such a thing as tax evasion. Meanwhile we're getting poorer and she gets money from 2 sources for the same 2 hours.

All homosexual acts are sins and abominations and remain so even if they become mandatory.
I for one would rather die than commit a homosexual act.
I am also a pacifist and would refuse to go to war because I don't want to kill. For that too I would prefer death.
I am uncomfortable acknowledging that same sex marriage exists. I don't like thinking about it. I have suffered a lot reading this thread.

Back in the good old days (Vietnam War era) pacifists objected to the war because they didn't want to kill.
Cowards objected because they didn't want to die.
Traitors objected because they wanted the Communists to win.
Isolationists objected because they didn't think that war was any of our business.
When something is bad there are all kinds of reasons not to participate.

Well your standard applies to objecting to baking cakes, but not to objecting to Bible stomping.

We all have innate proclivities, that when acted upon, lead to sin - basically less than perfect or ideal actions.
Homosexuality, even assuming you are born gay, is no different than someone born with a body chemistry that tends towards alcoholism, addiction, dishonesty, or violence. They're all the same. They all cause us to fall short. I can no more criticize a gay man or woman than I can criticize myself for occasionally drinking to excess or being promiscuous in college. All are bad and less than ideal.

That's my belief. It is a religious belief as well as a logical belief. So I get the argument that gay people aren't doing anything wrong... I just disagree with it.

There are definitely cases where the proclivity toward promiscuity or alcoholism does more damage to society than the proclivity for being gay. No doubt.

None of us are perfect and God have mercy on us all.

That's evasion. I asked you to explain not to give excuses why you can't.
