Since I last posted here I became medically impaired from many activities. I also lost my aunt Joan.
She did not die from corona virus, nor did she have it, but she might be a victim in indirect ways, as we all are even if we die someday of old age.
She's been declining for years and was on oxygen. The last few times I talked to her I sensed the beginning of senility.
On the morning of April 28 her older son went to visit. She was sick, so he called 911. The ambulance took her to the nearest hospital (Michigan). They wouldn't let her in. Outside they diagnosed a heart attack and sent her to another hospital. Her son went to collect her younger son. When they got there she was dead.

My medical problems started in March with pain as I leaned right to lift heavy boxes. On April 1 the pain was too great to work, so I went to Landmark Hospital. I told them I was exposed to COVID so they wouldn't touch me. The doctor looked at my leg but wouldn't touch. He said an x-ray wouldn't help, told me to rest, gave a prescription and said follow up with my doctor. I took 2 days because I needed my paycheck. My doctor has not seen me once this whole ordeal. It once took a week of phone tag to renew a prescription.
I worked every day April 4-28 with the exception of Easter. The pain kept increasing. On April 23

Due to technical problems that post was stuck since a few minutes after the other one.
On April 23 I was in very bad pain, scheduled another phone call with Performance Physical Therapy for Monday April 27.My wife was not content and got on the phone looking for someone to see me in person. She found one: Dr. Stephen Blazar. On April 27 they took an x-ray. That added a new pain on my right hip that has not stopped since. I have arthritis in my last lumbar bone. Then I found out about my aunt's death. I took 2 days to mourn but had to return Friday. By then I had a new prescription, less pain. A May 5 MRI identified 3 bulging discs. I kept working though, not yet knowing that. On May 8 I bent to the right and the pain was unbearable. I left in agony. Once again Dr. Cavanaugh-or anyone at Thundermist-would not see me because I was exposed to corona the day before at a friend's home. The agony continues as I hobble on a walker. As I write this I'm 30 minutes overdue for a call from Dr. Blazar and finally scheduled for Dr. Cavanaugh June 22.
That's all true. So is this but you may see humor: When they were scheduling me for June 22 I said, "By then I might be dead or healed." "I hope not," she replied.

That sounds awful. This virus complicates everything. Hope your medications are helping in the interim.

The gap between new posts is not because of the pain or grief but technical problems. My computer lost its browser capabilities and until tonight I didn't know the tablet knew my password. That looked like the end.
Song to the tune of who`s afraid of the big bad wolf?
    Who`s afraid of covid 19
    Covid 19 covid 19
    Who`s afraid of covid 19
Not me not me not me
To the tune of good beats
    I`m sick i`m sick i`m I'm sick
    I`very got covid 19 now
    I`m sick i`m I'm sick i`m sick.
    Gotta get better but how?
To the tune of the night the lights went out in Georgian
That's the night the lights went out in woonsocket
Because no one paid his electric bill.
The quarantine ended and no power reached a socket.
Cause they all thought forever things are still.

Terrible things, bad things and annoying things keep happening to me, so I think I'll make this my last post here.
Another song I forgot to post with a batch weeks ago, to the tune of Oh By Gosh by Golly:
    Oh by gosh, by Golly,
I caught the COVID from Holly.
    Oh by gosh, by golly,
    Now Christmas won't be jolly.
    Oh by gosh, by golly,
    Everyone is melancholy.

    product jingles:
    Kawasaki:

COVID 19 is the foul disease
    That puts us all ill-at-ease.
    You can't get away
    And it's here to stay.
    It's the foul disease.

    Dial:

    Please stay six feet away
For the rest of your life
    Don't even touch your wife
    'Til your dyin' day.

    Brylcreme:

COVID, a little germ will kill ya.
So guys, please stay away, have a care.

    Coca-Cola:

I'd like to live a few years more, so stay away from me.
I'd like to hold you in my arms, but that can never be.

    Burger King:

    50 died today
    From this COVID thing.

    Shasta:

Don't give me the COVID virus
    With spit, blood or piss.
    I want to live!
I want a cure. I want it now.
    I can't help. I don't know how.

    NBA on CBS:

When you get the COVID flu you might die the very next day,
You might die the very next day
    From COVID flu.

    Maxwell House:

Corona's the fever that could kill you
Killing people whole world wide: COVID flu.

It took a long time, but my wife just called me to tell me I have the corona virus. Curiously it was she who told me last Tuesday that I did not have the corona virus and I should come home to drive her to the store.
So how did I catch this vile disease, some 9 months after it started killing.
First of all there is the list of my assassins from the past, without whom my life might have been so comfortable at the start of 2020 that I could have quietly worked from home with no interruption of income or comfort. There are too many to name, but Dr. Smith, Arnie Larsen, Amy Bibeault, Jeff Robbins, Tom Rock, and the immediate assassins of 2019: Rebecca Del Barone, Detective Martin, Julez Stengel and Judge Isherwood, left me in a position certain to cause premature death.
As a result of their lethal lies and invective I started 2020 with only one employer: Federal Express. The management there is also an accomplice with some of the above, leaving me so desperate for money that I had to work every available minute despite danger and pain. The danger increased late in March when 3 staff members, including my immediate supervisor, caught the disease. A fourth was out for 2 weeks while his wife fought covid. He returned. The supervisor returned and resumed working beside me without a mask.
The pain got worse and worse, prompting my first trip to the emergency room at Landmark Hospital on April 1. Because I was exposed to those workers they wouldn't touch me or take an x-ray.
My primary care physician, a Dr. Cavanaugh of Thundermist Health Center also would not see me in person because of these exposures.
Still desperate for money, I worked 25 days in April despite agonizing pain.
Likewise Performance Physical Therapy, charged with recommending exercises that might help ease the pain, would not see me in person.
On April 23 my wife located a surgeon named Dr. Steven Blazar. He agreed to see me in person and took an x-ray April 27. That revealed that I have arthritis in my bottom lumbar bone. He also scheduled an MRI for Tuesday May 5.
On May 7 my wife decided we should pay a surprise visit on our best friend. She wouldn't let us in because she had covid. I kept working until May 8, when the pain took a new level.
It was the end of the day. There was some hope I might recover over the weekend, but while I lay on the couch making calls came the call about the MRI: 3 bulging discs. I went to Thundermist on a walker and they wouldn't let me in because of the friend I was near the day before.
Fedex refused to pay, but I did get an unpaid leave of absence through August 11. I was redirected to a Dr. Stuart Schneiderman, a pain specialist. He gave me a cortisone shot that soon had me off the walker and feeling well. However neither he nor Dr. Cavanaugh would provide a letter regarding work limitations. Desperate after the lost income I returned to work July 16 and the unbearable pain returned as I unloaded 4 trucks July 22. I could not continue.
My leave of absence expired. My wife declared me jobless. In any case, the bills continued to grow.
I hired a lawyer, who finally won a payment schedule of $224 per week (based it seems on the shortest schedule an employee could ever actually work in a week.). They were supposed to pay my medical bills too, but my April bill from Landmark is now with a collection agency.
A second cortisone shot did not work as well as the first. The pain continued. I decided I needed r. Blazar and his lazer surgery. That was November 3.
It did not go perfectly. Among my post-op symptoms was swelling around the area of the incision and at that follow up visit November 10 I appear to have contracted covid.
The coughing started on the 18th, the morning after the second follow up. I waited until the 24th to call Thundermist about it and had to wait until the 27th for the test.
So today they called my wife to tell me I could find the results on the Thundermist Patient Portal. I found out they would know in 2 to 7 days.
The RI department of Health called her to tell her to tell me to tell Thundermist. So I called Thundermist and await a call back. Then a Dr. Tyler of Thundermist called me to tell me I have the covid 19. Now he has to tell Dr. Cavanaugh.

Jerry was in a Hospital bed wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth. "Nurse" he mumbles "are my testicles black?"
The nurse raises his gown, holds his penis in one hand and his balls in the other. She takes a close look and says, "There's nothing wrong with them sir."
Jerry pulls off the oxygen mask, smiles at her and says very slowly: "Thanks for that. It was lovely but listen very very carefully ... Are-my-test-results-back?!"
With these masks...who else can relate

A lot has happened this year but I decided not to post in this thread again until there was a death connected to my family.
There have been a few close calls and one person still in the hospital, but the death is on the perimeter.
My wife has a cousin in Trinidad who runs a charity network called Is There Not A Cause. One of her volunteers died of COVID last week.

Since I now have a real death on the perimeter of my life, I would like to ask other members if they have died from covid, because I don't think the management will tell us.

    Thank you for responding.
What I mean is: do they tell us when they learn that a forum member has passed on?
Is there perhaps such a thread in the Covid section where people are compiling a list of fallen friends and relatives?

I don’t think so but it would be a good idea. There are many disappeared names from the PF. Are they all members of the 800,000 club?
