Okay, let's do this -- who are the most overrated actors/actresses you know and/or just someone in the business you cannot stand for no particular reason at all?

    Just let the hate flow.

Julia Roberts: is an immensely overrated actress and anytime someone speaks highly of her I feel like puking. Very limited and just generally boring. Big boo.

Tom Cruise: All comments are redundant.

Cameron Diaz: For no real reason at all, but just sick of her and the hype surrounding her.

Megan Fox: Someone saw her and thought , "that girl is pretty, let's put her behind the camera!" and so they did. A typical example of a woman who earns fame solely for her looks (which are overrated too btw). She can't act for sh...

Can't disagree, but I cut Cameron some slack, she is a major science geek.

Doesn't make her less annoying. Apart from Gangs of NY, she hasn't done much good. :p

Yeah, but I saw her live on a panel with Cormac McCarthy and Richard Dawkins, I cut her some slack. Roberts is awful, don't get me started on Cruise, I am a major critic of the church of $cientology. Also....I know someone who was involved on his new film "The Mummy" he said it was absolutely one of the worst films ever, expect a huge crashing thud at the box office. :)

Jack Nicholson, Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci because they seem to play the same character all the time.

Lefties will call me racist but I'm fed up seeing too many blacks in films. A few are okay such as Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington and Idris Elba but the rest can't act for toffee and the camera doesn't even like them even if mushbrained pol-correct lefty film producers do.
Call me oldfashioned but I want to see handsome white actors/actresses who the camera loves.
For example when I heard they were remaking Jerry Lewis's 'The Nutty Professor' I was thrilled to bits, but when they cast Eddie Murphy in the part I lost interest, I'll never watch it.
I know a lot of other white folk share my views, and one day Hollywood will wake up and realise that casting too many blacks in films is going to lose them money at the box office and video sales because us white boys and gals are gonna think twice before watching them..;)

75% of 'bad acting' is the fault of directors, writers, and mis-casting roles just to put a big name in the promotional side of it. I agree that DeNiro is over-rated, but when you get a zillion $$$ just for showing up for roles you probably have no business playing and tolerate bad direction and writing who wouldn't take the money? Hollywood is all about the bucks, always has been, always will be; 'art' happens mostly accidentally with movies, despite the hype about 'serious talent' and the like. Few actors can save a crap production by themselves, at least few can do it every time they're cast in one.

One of the few who can do both comedy and drama well.

I would like to add Samuel L Jackson and Daniel Kaluuya to the list. The rest of the black actors just make crappy comedies that are not really my cup of tea (Martin Lawrence, Chris Tucker, Kevin Hart etc :puke:).

I think very few people share your paranoid worldview. Most of us just want to see good acting and as far as I am concerned, acting-talent has no colour. There are tons of awful white actors/actresses too. ;)
