No, I didn't say that, you can go to your local homeless shelter and volunteer, join a clean up group for parks and beaches. Or just go to your local veterans hospital and volunteer.

    How embarrassing for them.

Hopefully while sales are sluggish he can work on a way to improve his subpar pizza. Maybe his sales will increase.

That’s my point. So how does being in the military make you more patriotic ?

Are you kidding? You swear an oath to defend the land, the government and protect the people knowing you could be risking your own doing so giving up much of your own freedom to do it. How could it not be?

So you are less patriotic than an army accountant then right ?

Good. The NFL has way too many commercial breaks. I wish they all would pull their ads. That's why I watch mainly pay-cable channels and record everything from commercial channels so I can skip past the ads. If I had my way, all advertising would be banned. I do not support the corporate/capitalist dehumanizing machine.

When things get bad they have to pick up a rifle too. When my Dad's airbase in North Africa came under attack, the cooks, clerks and motor pool guys all had to fight.

Yeah, actually a lot more than two things can be and are true. Except for Trump, where everything and nothing is true.

Then why would you need someone else's irrelevant answer to your irrelevant question before you answer the question that you were asked to answer?

I already posted that I had.

And a funny thing happened to me on the way to the recruiting office.

Now, what are you waiting for?

    Answer the question...

(...which was..., Then please explain to me how the relatively small percentage of Americans who served in the military had their love for America and their patriotism for America enhanced by their service in the military and is now more loving and more patriotic than those who didn't or couldn't serve in the military.)

    What branch and where?

You stopped at a bar and never made it there?

It was already answered in 3 posts..

Just because I didn't answer the "way" you wanted doesn't mean I didn't answer.

You answered the question as to why someone serving in the military is someone who deserves kudo's, thanks, and respect for serving in the military.

That wasn't the question that was asked.

    The question was...

...Then please explain to me how the relatively small percentage of Americans who served in the military had their love for America and their patriotism for America enhanced by their service in the military and is now more loving and more patriotic than those who didn't or couldn't serve in the military.

"So when Chick-Fil-A first opened a location in New York City, the idiot mayor Bill de Blasio called for a boycott. Seriously? Whoever heard of a mayor declaring war on a newly opened business in his own town? Before now, I mean. It didn't used to be like this. But now, everything is nuts. It's like we've been slammed right in the middle of Heinlein's Crazy Years, and the next thing you know, de Blasio will be eating a clay sandwich on the steps of City Hall. Better that, apparently, than Chick-Fil-A."

    Uh huh.

Which is why Papa Johns didn't have a 2018 Superbowl ad.

Which is why the NFL gave exclusive marketing rights to Pizza Hut for the 2018 season and beyond.

    You're out of touch.

Weird to necro up a thread that's 6 months old when the new sourced comment is not even about Papa Johns

I find the sourced opinion today to be very worthy of its own thread. I have never even heard of such a thing happening until recently with the progressive far left completely becoming unhinged and doing everything possible to further polarize our country using every tool at their disposal

But Jesus for a mayor of the biggest city in the US to publicly declare war on a popular restaurant? for having conservative views?

That's as nutters as the democratic party in Cali voting no confidence in Dianne Feinstein for being too moderate because she was willing to compromise

I'm trying to make you understand that this thread was from 2017.

Since then PapaJohns did exactly what they said they would, they pulled from the NFL.

The 2018 Superbowl had no PJ ads and the NFL went exclusively with Pizza Hut for the 2018 season.

If you have something that contradicts that then lets see it otherwise I'm closing the book on this one.
