Patriotism in Europe

I'm British. America is a complimentary culture, much of it is British culture. And much of theirs is ours. Our trade routes are the same. We have common international interests and a great defence relationship.

Russians are easy it's all about martial strength.
I'm a Brit. I get it.

If push comes to shove, I trust Russia to flatten Germany.

The EU is a threat to world peace and frankly I look to ourselves and Russia and America to keep those power mad ****ers in check.
I trust them.

 

O.K. However, you speak the same language, for non english speaking european, we don't feel closely related. Some idiots dislike USA for that, but they're idiots.

 

France modelled it's political system on America's.

And you all speak English. Who are you trying to kid. £5 says every French person is taught the language just as every English person is taught French.

English is the language of the EU, not just England and America.
Also India, Australia and god knows where else. It's a world language.

 

We learn all english, but the teaching is not really efficient. I was in 1st year college english course in France recently, I was really disappointed to see how much the level is low and I'm not even good at speaking and writing english.

 

Furthermore, nowodays system inherit more of constitutionnal monarchy. We have for instance two parliamants.

 

I'm pretty sure your English is way better than my French, so no need to put your self down from my angle.

Two parliaments? National and EU? Or two houses like Senate and Congress?

Or local and national perhaps?
