Paul Ryan will fit right in with Mitt Romney...He has also been proven to be a political brown nose who takes different positions depending who he's trying to get money or votes from...He's on video tape slinging a bunch of crap to the conservative Atlas society saying that Ayn Rand was his political and moral compass...Rand was an avowed athiest who was a strong proponent of abortion and had a true disdain for organized religion...Now that Ryan is in a position to need the religious whack vote he's changed his tune...This is only Teusday....Just the beginning of his anal exam...LOL

Ryan's effort to put daylight between himself and Rand also reeks of history-rewriting. Certainly the speech he gave before the Atlas Society in 2005, in which he toed the Randian line, was no "urban legend." Ryan is no atheist, but atheism was at the core of her philosophy, because the teachings of the Bible simply do not jibe with her belief that selfishness is moral, greed is good and altruism is evil. It's not surprising that Ryan's budget plan, which cuts programs for the poor and middle class while imposing no new taxes on the rich, has been criticized by some in the Roman Catholic Church.

Paul Ryan can either be an objectivist or a Christian. He can't have it both ways. He faces a serious problem among Christians, moderate Republicans and others who dislike Rand's views if his expressions of support for Rand are believed, rather than his denials.

The REAL problem with the "Randian Line" is that INTEGRITY and SELF RESPONSIBILITY is essential to the Rand philosophy!

NOTHING is FARTHER from that than our modern "corporation" structure! From immunity to debts incurred or personal responsibility for the owner's and managers actions for nearly ANYTHING, NOTHING could less resemble the and ideal than what our businessmen actually do!

And such standards DO come back to bite politicians on the butt pretty hard if they profess to subscribe to Rand ethics! Whether it is subsidies, exemptions, immunities to debt and strategic escape from repayments or contracts, the modern American businessman has NO PRINCIPLES AT ALL! So if politicians admit that for THEMSELVES, they still can do poorly at the polls.

So they RUN, not walk, from professing Ayn Rand beliefs!
