I am not attempting to pass my opinions and experience off as though they are facts. I am aware that the way i experience things is irrelevant. I don't let my bias cloud my thinking.

So you believe that a child needs a mother and father figure? What about societies in history where the father took no active role in raising his children? What about African societies where the grandparents do the raising? And by what objective standard is a father "fatherly" enough or a mother "motherly" enough?

A fact is something that is postulated to have occurred or to be correct. The usual test for a statement of fact is verifiability—that is, whether it can be demonstrated to correspond to experience.

 

I believe if the parents are gay, it creates confusion in the child. Of course not all children become Gay because of their circumstance.

 

I did. I too was raised from about the age of 11 by my grandparents. However, having an actual father and mother in ones life is important to normal development, IMO

Well, only because there was such public outcry over labeling pedophilia a sexual orientation, that they decided they had mislabeled it.
