That's also a myth. It is an excuse for lazy thinking.

If I remember correctly, when Bush and Gorbachev were working out the final details of ending the Cold War, promises were made like NATO would never expand or NATO troops would never be deployed in a country that shared borders with Russia and with the reunification of Germany, Germany would never attempt to lay claim to their soil that what was Prussia and have Prussia being part of Germany again.

The left doesn't like to talk about it or it's not taught in the schools but when the Soviets occupied Prussia and Czechoslovakia where the Strudantland was, there was a full scale ethnic cleansing that took place in 1945, Germans and any one who spoke German were eliminated...one shot...one kill.

By 1946 not to many Germans could be found living in Prussia or Czechoslovakia.

No, infact Gorbachev was bancrupt and needed money. The area was offered to Chancellor Kohl. Germany denied to take it for a simple reason. Its worthless land. It has no recources. The resource were the german people. The germans there left. So what you have is a big nothing which would cost hundreds of billions to bring on german level.

Also your assumption about the ethnic cleansing is wrong. There happened atrocities, yes but most simply left. My grandmothers family is from there.

Also of course the largest partsof Prussia are still German. The capital of Prussia was Berlin. You say not many germans could be found in Berlin?

In end effect im glad Kohl denied to purchase the region. Its a poor region and Russia struggles to keep it afloat.

There's not much out there be it in a research library or the internet or official records.

There are some photos and films that are locked away and basically nobody wants to talk about it.

Wikipedia isn't the best source to use and Wikipedia adopted cultural-marxist revisionist history about eight or so years ago.

    It's Sunday,the library is closed.

    Well no choice but Wiki.

Outside of Europe, most are unaware of the atrocities that took place after the war.

Today most don't know someone or talked to someone who actually lived under Soviet occupation.

It’s nice to see trump ending the “more flexible” with Putin policy if the last admin and directly addressing the Putin problem head on

Alabama has Marshall Spaceflight Center. Given your affinity for Wernher Von Braun you should've known that.

To get a god vibe...results of our state election just came in. Far right AfD became 2nd strongest force and doubled its result from 5 years ago. Merkels CDU collapsed. Leftist SPD is dieng and the liberal left Green must fear to fall out of parliament completly.

    Good news!

The United States doesn't have a parliamentary form of government.

Some say that's a good thing while others say it's a bad thing.

If Germany would have adopted a Constitution like America's Constitution after the war in 1918, the Nationalist Socialist Party (Nazis) would have never came into power.

Sudetenland. But I very much doubt the story with Gorbi. The borders were finalized in the so called Ostvertraege, long before the wall came down and Gorbi could not offer which he did not own.

Ethnic Germans in Czechoslovakia and Poland were driven from their homes, mostly with a 24h notice. The treck was brutal, mostly on foot and the winter of that year was one of the coldest on record. Thousands died.
Most ended up in West Germany.

I think a national socialist party right now is what we need to save our future.

Liberal leftism is the greatest danger for our future. Bigger than anything we faced before and sometimes you can only fight fire with fire.

Look at 2015 when liberal left went into full retard mode and allowed 1.5 million 3rd world savages into our great nation. Never before in my life had i fear about my future but then i had first time ever fear regarding that.

What saved Germany? massive victory for the far right AfD.

regarding constitution. We are not america. Each country must find its own constitution that fits to it. I doubt your constitution would be good for us. Its ot grown here, has no connection to the people and land. It would be like an alien pushed over the people.

    Socialism isn't the answer.

Look at what socialism has done to California.

I give a **** about socialism. Whatever it takes to stop liberal left. AfD is hyper nationalist with liberal economy ideology. Similar to Pinochet in Chile. Thats exactly what we need now.

Actually from what I've read something like 2.4 million Germans died during their forced expulsions from Eastern European countries but many in the west didn't raise an objection because of the role that ethnic Germans in surrounding nations played in motivating German expansion up to World War Two.

That said, the massive influx of Germans into West Germany probably played a major role in the rapid recovery of West Germany's economy and infrastructure after World War Two.

The trek was a horror trip. 2 years ago I lost a very dear friend, neighbor, she did the trek as a 14 year old.
Yes the huge influx of people, filled a little the huge gap WWII and WWI had left in the population.
It was naturally a gigantic undertaking in a destroyed country to take care of so many more homeless people, 14 million of them.
I still remember those camps in my hometown.

Is that what they are selling you? Neo Liberalism on steriods in one country and - get rid of the non Germans. It is no different to what the Brexiters or Trumpsters are selling. Given that neo liberalism is no longer fit to give anything to anyone but the super rich, have fun.

    Congrats on AfD victory.
Who knows, maybe Germany will do Grexit in the future?

As for liberalism - it will lead to Medieval Ages 2.0. Climate change and PC folk are turning so religious, they are beating religious fanaticism. Just like fanatical Christians destroyer Roman Empire, liberals will destroy western world.

It isn't a choice of one or the other of those - that is just what Corporate Power uses to get ethnic Nationalists on board to support their failing economic system. It's more choosing to return to 1930's Germany rather than looking for an effective resolution to economic difficulties. The Afd, Trumpsters and Brexiters as you describe the AFD are all in the same basket. Perhaps you should stop criticisng the Trumpsters and Brexiters.

He is jealous Trump is not the leader of Germany.
He loves politicians who are not bound by etiquette and speak like they are at a village gathering.

Actually, the 'Peace Through Strength' theory. Power is the only language Vlad the Invader understands.

It's funny, someone was showing a newspaper article on Al Capone.
There, to my surprise, was a tiny article from one Lady Aston - she
claimed that if the allies did not show strength then they would be
confronting a new war. That was eventually to be WWII.
So many times Hitler could have been stopped if the allies had just
shown a bit of back bone. I think it was in the Sudetenland that
Hitler told his troops to withdraw if anyone starts shooting as he
didn't have the military strength to back his push.
    Ah... if only.
"I have here this piece of paper..." said Chamberlain.
