I think, we think more of Latvia than East Germany with its NAZI minority.

The US is powerful enough to defend itself from any "regime" that now exists or is likely to exist. We don't need to be worried about that. We need to be worried about using our resources wisely, so that our lives and the lives of future Americans are optimized.

The costs of maintaining those "interests" far outweigh the benefits. We would be better served by investing those resources in America's infrastructure.

now maybe, but in the future? Last time when you do so, you were attacked. Nowadays there are much more higher possibilities to attack you...

You calculated this with all various scenarios?

Keep the dream alive... 88 is coming back soon!

Germany is about to become everybody's bitch, as she always end up being.

She's dependant on the USA for her defense and on Russia for her fuel. No need to bomb her again, she has to obey whatever the US or Russia order her to do. That and she has a lot of new happy citizens coming her way.

What future threats do you imagine that the US could not handle?

The US was attacked BECAUSE of its involvement overseas.

The US is as physically safe and secure as its ever been. The only real threat it faces is its unsustainable debt.

The average American has no real economic "interests" in eastern Europe any way. Certainly not enough to justify billions of dollars worth of investment.

That money would be far better spent on things like roads, schools, hospitals, etc.

And to think, I'm expected to justify spending my country's money on my own country!

You are confusing some private MERC force - with the Russian army - something you have been corrected on numerous times. Then you tell me to do some research. LOL - How about you get some therapy for your projection issues :)

Projection is a psychological defense mechanism in which individuals attribute characteristics they find unacceptable in themselves to another person https://www.goodtherapy.org/blog/psychpedia/projection

I can tell you are going to struggle with Germany's ascendance over the coming years. Try not to stress yourself out too much. It's a good thing.

Actually, Russian mercs are experienced fighters - they have experience from Georgia, Ukraine and other conflicts Russia was involved in.
They are seasoned soldiers who joined private army for better pay.

That backs up what I've been reading for the last two decades or more. Trained Russian soldiers get tired to trying to scrape by in the regular Russian military and take their talents to the open market. I've read they are usually far, far better equipped than Russian regulars because they can have some say in the hardware they arm themselves with.
