Tell them that , "in light of further consideration, your perspectives have sharpened as even more options have emerged ."
That is , Disown the Past , which they probably cannot remember themselves .
OR , " You made an interesting point BUT....... " . Implied flattery works wonders .

I just spent a half hour on a multi-quote reply to this thread , I was working on it when it just fluvking disappeared ...

so , I had to start over ,,, same-ol-same-o , BTW , do you know where the auto-saved posts go ?

or is that just a flashy yellow light thingy that appears every few seconds that has no function or utility other than to give the appearance that things are changing ? LOL , what do you think ?

Seems like the more PF changes , the more it stays the same ... ?

Odd. My "Quick links" are "Experience" "Todays Posts" "Subscribed Threads" "Open Contacts Pop Up" "View forum Leaders" and "View Donations" and doesnt include a "Last Post By" link. AND the search function that would normally give a nice summary of threads I've posted on, still doesnt work.

I've had that happen a few times.. Spend ages on a post, check at the top that I'm logged in, and I am, so I submit reply. It then asks me to log in (even though I was logged in). If I login I go back to the reply box, but all information disappears. Same thing if I try to navigate back to it.

I figured out what I needed to do. Simply type out your message in a wordpad document. Then when you finished it just copy and paste it to the forum.

You could try writing down the information about where you posted for reference on a future date.

I have the oppositte problem. I see a thread that I've never visited before, and clicking into it for the first time ever, when I would want to start at the op, it instead drops me somewhere in the middle, in a completely random and arbitrary place.

Subscribed threads only seems to give the option of the last post or a specific page. Not the last post made by me. That was a very handy function on the other thread.

I don't know the answer to this, but guessing...

When you set up a forum, there are preset default sizes for everything. If it is set too small, it can cause issues. For example, animated avatars don't work if the avatar size setting is too small. To allow them to work, the admin has to just increase the size in the settings. This is very easy to do via the Admin control panel. It's just a case of changing the numbers to a higher number and saving the changes.

I am thinking maybe the forum photo size setting has a small default size and needs to be increased to allow pictures to appear larger.

Of course the Admin may not wish to increase the size setting for other reasons. I don't know if having lots of large pics saved will slow the forum down and take up too much memory or whatever.

An alternative is to save your pics to photobucket and post the image code from there. Or just post the actual url from wherever you found the pic online, rather than saving the pics onto the forum memory.

Actually you do have the option of reading from the first unread post. If you have read everything up to your last post then this would be what you want.

It is missed very much, for many reasons.
Be assured that I addressed this issue, and will continue doing so.
In the meantime, instant EM notifications seem to help. Not sure what else to tell you for the time being. Sorry.

There is a "go to first new post" button on the left of the subscribed thread menu.
That opens the page of your last post, if you haven't accessed the thread since you made it.

You can also display a pic that's been uploaded locally...

Just edit the post to reference the URL of the pic that you've uploaded (right click and "copy image location" in Firefox) and wala:

Locally hosted pic displayed in proper size.

Please be precise in reporting glitches and problems as you encounter them, ideally posting the exact error message so that the issues can be resolved as quickly as possible.
Please try to understand that this thread is for such reports only, for no one has the time to read through numerous off topic comments, and you want these issues resolved in a timely manner.

    Thanks

That is called 'BB Code' and you can find it below each uploaded photo in your albums and you should copy and paste it rather than attaching a photo to your post from 'Insert Image', which makes an image smaller.
