Why are they pushing Climate Change so hard?

    Recent events:
*European Union made the Paris Climate Agreement Legally Binding*
    http://www.iflscience.com/environment/european-union-voted-make-paris-agreement-legally-binding/all/

This next event has interesting implications as to how close we are towards the end.

*The United States introduced a bill to stop buying and selling if you fail to comply with the law*
    http://www.wnd.com/2017/06/hide-your-cash-the-governments-after-it/

What is the real reason Pope Francis is so influential in this world? What's his agenda? Discuss.

Well, climate change hysteria more resembles a religion than science so...they now have a Pope.

I have a suspicion that Canada's P. M. Justin Trudeau, for all his many flaws,
may well be in a position to turn Pope Francis and the political left all over the world
toward a more practical response to climate change.

He is kind of pressured into doing so if my question is valid.
    ...........
Mr. Jaimie Bailley........ I have a question on basic physics that I believe you can turn
    into a mission in life.

In my part of Nova Scotia, Guysborough County near Sherbrooke, the difference from
low tide to high tide isn't much more than one meter.

As you know extremely well........ in parts of your riding the difference from low tide to high tide is around FIFTEEN
    meters.

My question is.......... if a significant amount of cracking and sliding of ice on the West Antarctic
Ice Sheet were to occur...... and if average ocean levels were to rise by one meter...... would the
difference along part of the Bay of Fundy continue to have a FACTOR OF 15 X?

Would a one meter rise in average ocean levels translate into another fifteen meters added to high tide
due to the funneling effect that the Bay of Fundy has on the tidal waters as it comes in???????

I don't know the answer to this question.

I am hoping that there is some other factor that would lessen the
multiplier effect on high tides in parts of your riding........... but the
question needs to be asked...... because my online friend Mr. Carl Cantrell
gave me an alternative theory on how to address climate stabilization that
has the side benefit of also directly addressing the threat of rising ocean levels.

Obviously every cubic meter of ocean water that is desalinated and added to the
water table of Israel, Jordan, Qatar, Tunisia, California, Saudi Arabia, Australia or any
other nation with lots of desert is good news for people whose homes are along the Bay of Fundy.

The Bay of Fundy is one of a kind and should not be sacrificed for temporal needs.
There was another Yosemite like valley in California that was dammed up.
    We had one Yosemite. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hetch_Hetchy
Now maybe if you had two Bay of Fundy-s, sacrificing one would just be Californian.

When you communicate next with Pope Francis, please suggest he encourage all good Roman Catholic peoples to plant and care for a tree. Imagine the trees he could motivate!

There are small based solutions practiced in mass would have a profound effect.
Capitalism dictates someone has got to profit, big time, so above solutions are just for :roflol:

Need water? Stop corralling rain water in concrete conduits draining to the ocean and start zoning some "flood plains" to help add to the ground water.

No Naked Roofs. Plating the desert with mirrors is hardly and Earth friendly solution.
Yet it is PR'ed as such while birds fry in flight when they fly into the beam.

And stop telling Moi to conserve while adding more people with no additional infrastructure.
Conservation today is a sucker's bet. I conserve so they can add more population in denser ways than currently here! No way. "Use As Much Natural Gas, Electricity & Water As You Can" is my motto until effectual growth controls are enforced, no exemptions.
Tell me about shortages when "we" have stressed the system enough to bring responsible growth. I mean new condos don't even recycle their water into "gray water" for their landscaping. Building codes are too little different from the fifties. Or right, more insulation. ;)

    Don't get me started!

True..... I agree that the Bay of Fundy should NOT be sacrificed which is why I am
advocating the deliberate and planned LOWERING of ocean levels by putting about
two hundred million cubic meters of ocean water annually into the area of the Dead Sea through
    The Petra Project........
and another proposed project for Australia where an inland salt water marina can be created
that would also lower ocean levels somewhat.

And that would just be the beginning because it will be necessary to desalinate an astonishing amount of ocean water and put it inland in order to maintain ocean levels roughly where they are now.

Once the formula shifts and the amount of ice being ADDED to Antarctica no longer balances
the amount of ice melting off Greenland and the world's glaciers.... then we will have to go
    much bigger with this.

Jamie Baillie, Nova Scotia, Israel and Jordan.

But...... good news.... now that the Bride of Messiah / the church.........(and not just the
Roman Catholic Church but a more Alpha version).......... has an acceptable Cyrus type.....
President Trump to lead her into doing things that actually can work.......(because the Paris Accord certainly would not have). .... it is theoretically
possible for the national debt of Israel to be paid off through the many projects that the
exalted and empowered Bride of Messiah will embark on..............

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...ons-should-print-their-own-currencies.381946/

Large churches in democratic nations should print their own currencies.

Come to think of it though...... it is often through small groups that God works most powerfully so perhaps I was incorrect in expecting any large churches to comprehend the need to do this.

Hetch Hetchy reservoir is beautiful, protected, and supplies quite a bit of Californias fresh water. I suggest you take a trip there before condemning it.

    Yes tecoyah, DEAR :blowkiss:
I did not condemn it as if it became a tar sands operation.
How much prettier do you think the preserved valley would have been.
Yosemite could be likewise dammed and hold lots of water for "us" too.

Oh, and what about the Pope instructing "good" Catholic peoples to plant a tree and take care of it.
    More on topic
Think of the Catholic forests. It worked for Israel.

I lived in Yosemite valley for over decade while running the mountaineering shop and went to Hetch Hetchy several times. The valley actually was flooded which is why I and almost everyone else left. I'm sure Htch Hetshy was beautiful before the Dam, and it still is after.
