In 2008, 55% of Jewish Americans identified as Democrats, compared with the current 52%. The change in Democratic Party identification is consistent with the trend among all U.S. adults, from 35% in 2008 to 29% now."

What interests me more than just the Jewish group, is the overall strength of the major parties or All Americans as Gallup lists them. 29% Democratic, 26% Republican, 40% independent. If you compare those numbers to 2006, 36% Democratic, 32% Republican, 30% independents you'll see quite a lot of folks have deserted both major parties.

But back to the Jewish Groups. Gallup also had this in their article/poll.

"Although Trump has waded into the controversy, he has relatively few supporters among Jewish Americans. In fact, Jewish Americans were among the least likely to approve of Trump of all religious groups in 2018, with just 26% approving and 71% disapproving."

Why does the Jewish Groups support the Democratic Party, it hasn't that much to do with Isreal. The Republican Party has been more pro-Isreal than the Democratic Party going as far back as to Eisenhower. Yet history shows the Jew's vote Democratic in huge numbers since then. It has more to do with which party helps the poor more. The Democrats has always been big since FDR using government to help the poor. This is what government should do according to most Jews. This government helping the poor is what and why in my opinion that Jews are hugely Democratic. For American Jews, being pro-Isreal is not the big thing, the use of taxpayers money to help the poor is.

 

It is an insult to American Jews whenever anyone - regardless of their politics - contrives a stereotype of blind allegiance to Likud policies. That is not what determines their party preference.

Yes, Israel is an advanced, democratic nation that has achieved considerable capitalistic success and admirable comprehensive welfare policies, but its government also imposes draconian, apartheid, discriminatory restrictions on 20% of its citizens. It is to be expected that Americans - Jewish and non-Jewish - steeped in American values, have a realistic, tempered regard for the nation of Israel.

Most Jewish Americans, like most Americans, consistently concur that Trump stinks, and one more of his fake claims, driven by his delusional narcissism and/or his pandering to his lickspittles, is not about to change that.

In 2 counties. It was NOT country wide. Total votes doesn’t matter when you have poor Democrats packed together like sardines that will vote in lockstep for their freebies.

Obama won the popularity contest before he even entered it, hence no jail time. If you don't see the MASSIVE criminality of the Dems, that's genuinely horrifying. (What does Andy say to the warden?) One side disenfranchised HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of voters in ONE borough of New York City ALONE, and otherwise ADMITTED to rigging the primaries nationwide in Hitlery's favor. No one went to jail. No accountability.

But your genuinely shocking attitude is part of the reason I will NEVER vote Democrat again.
