Post Brexit British Passports to be Blue

The other week, they released a mock up of the new British passports coming post Brexit.

 

Looks like a shitty old German one.

Black James Bond passport please.

 

Maybe they could just make them like mobile phones so those people who care about silly irrelevancies can get covers with any colour or design on it they want.

 

I was in the UK when this news came out. The Daily Mail was banging on about it, "Now make them here!" or some such rubbish. Meanwhile Brexit is tearing the nation apart.

 

British passports will only go back to the pre-1973 design, which is natural after leaving the EU. All EU member states have the same burgundy travel document, as part of efforts to forge a collective identity.

 

That's what I thought, 'black' I've seen one, handled one etc... Looks black to me...

Apparently it's not black, but a really dark shade of blue 'on the record'...

That said; I like it being blue, reminds me of Canada, USA & Australia.
It's fitting that we align ourselves with the Anglo sphere like our English speaking cousins in Canada, USA & Australia.

 

Prefer something a little more unique myself.

Brexit has highlighted the same issue in America and Trump; the socialist lefts are crying and their dummies have fallen out. They're basically trying to reverse Brexit and they're trying to reverse Trump's appointment.

It's embarrassing and it's scary that part of the world's society morphed into that left situation.

It's not a left or right issue - Brexit I mean. It's about leaving a trade bloc that the nation fought for years to enter. It doesn't make sense. As for Trump, I'll leave him to Americans.

 

It is a left issue.

The UK lied to it's people to enter the EU that had a Common Market Commission. This turned into an unelected EU Parliament. Not 1 person in 480 million voted for them.

The EU is part of the world's Left establishment that the slight majority here kicked into touch. You will find the left socialists wanted to remain, now lead by Communist Corbyn.

 

I couldn't care if the new passports are yellow with blue spots? Just as long any reference to the EU is removed. Anyone concerned on the shade of blue etc.., I'm sure their psychiatrist could help chat about it.

 

No harm in a bit of Nostalgia.
No harm in showing some flair in your personal style.

"The nation" didn't fight for years to enter it.
A corrupt elite fought the nation for years to enter them into it.
Fought the nation for years to keep them in it, and are still fighting the nation over it now.

We didn't fight to get in, but if we have to fight to get out, we will.
In the end if you treat an adult as if he is a child, he will be forced to treat you with the same respect.

Those who do not wish to leave the EU's opinions are not being respected. They are being ignored, and they deserve to be. They left the nation with no other choice.
Democracy or war. No other choices here.
Bottom line.

 

There is an element of the EU which appeals to disempowered minorities.
So lefty who cannot get a bill through parliament in the right wing UK, can get one through parliament in the left wing EU.... and then force it on the UK from there.
Likewise a Green who can't get enough public traction for his project in the UK, can get enough supporters Europe wide to make a movement.

On the one hand I'm all like
"well how about keep money in Britain?"
;but on the other hand I'm all
"well if it saves Britain money and costs less than to produce them here, then I'm alright with that, free trade and whatnot."

However, I won't know how much I like it until I find out how much the passports'd cost to renew/apply for, now.
Will they go down in price?
Will the price stay the same?
Why can't something in history come down in price if it's being made different and will cost less than to make it here at home/in the UK?

That'll go well down well with the nationalists! And this is straight after the ultimate Brexiteers, the fishing industry, were kicked in the teeth!

 

I was listening to Radio 2 and although I was feeling annoyed that France won the contract to make UK passports it highlighted two things -

1- It had to be tendered out under EU rules, thus France winning and yet another reason we need out of the EU.

2- The UK company, De La Rue, that lost the UK passport contract currently prints passports for 30 other countries.

Despite having four years left on my passport, I will be changing my passport to the new UK as soon as they're available. Same with my driving licence to remove the Nazi EU flag.

Saving money printing them in France is irrelevant, just pay an extra fiver in the UK and keep the money going to UK workers, fuelling our own economy.

 

Theresa May is hopeless, absolutely hopeless.

It's being a British Citizen that's the pride of getting a UK passport, not where the damn thing was printed.

Why should we fear foriegn trade all of sudden if it reduces costs passed down to the consumer while maintaining quality craftsmanship from French factories?

The only answer should be is
'if they used my money to out bid my country's factory'...
