In the meantime, I get pleasure from conversations with 'activist socialists' (aka middle-class white folk whose entire lives are nothing but comfort and privilege) where I can slide in the topic of dorm and work rosters, in a tone suggestive of their complete agreement and support of such things. Deer in the headlights, usually. A tiny part of them is aware that that's the reality of State Collectivism, but they're so entrenched in the Disney version that it's always a shock to hear someone say it out loud. They can't turn on you because you're technically more 'hardcore' than they are, but they badly want to hate you for ruining their fantasy of free money and endless comfort.

The post to which I referred was the fact that the wait staff had to wear masks and the patrons didn't. My reference to restaurants is just showing that these businesses are following health and safety codes which state that employees have to wear masks when interacting with patrons. I would suggest the same is happening at the Gala.

 

Hey, at the very least, I am pleased her dress did not say "Eat The Rich".

 

And that's against the law for a US Representative. She has to pay for it out of pocket or by campaign funds.
