That's not the issue. The issue is America and slavery. Should there be statutes to the slave owning founding fathers? Do you feel Washington is the father of our country, or do you view him as the father of some other country? The constitution was written during slavery. Do you feel any allegiance or oath a document that didn't have you in mind when it was written? The Confederate flag was only the flag of a slave owning country for under 5 years. The American flag flew over a slave owning nation for around 70 years. Do you feel any loyalty to that flag, or is it a racist symbol to you? How about the national anthem? Is it the anthem of a white supremacist slave owning state that you take a knee to, or is it your anthem? Do you feel like this is not your country, and would like to burn it down and start at year zero to found a new one based on racial equality and whatever wokeness is trending on twitter?
