I never understood why protesters stand in front of cars

This is wrong on every level and someone could have been killed. The driver should face time behind bars. Having said that everyone is tired of protests blocking roads. I remember when people protested peacefully on the SIDE of the road. I have not really seen that since the Green Tea Party had peaceful protests against Obama.

Did you see that car on the other side of the road reversing to have a look? Death wish. He was on the shoulder so perhaps not as bad as I thought.

Haha, I did notice a.. bit of clearing out of illegal protesters after the driver made road bumps out of a couple.

Well here it would be illegal. Who knows in South America where that took place.

I hope no cars were injured in the making of this film.

I thought that would be obvious; because it gets attention. For example, if they’d just been protesting quietly on the side of the road, nobody would have bothered sending a helicopter to film them in the first place. Protests are about attracting attention and unfortunately, causing disruption attracts attention. It’s the same thing with sit-ins, strikes and protest camps.

I think the driver has a very good reason to fear for his/her life. They were acting in self-defense against a group of people known to be violent and attack those who disagree with them violently. Perfectly justified since 1992 LA riots.
