The only superiority I claim is reason over faith, science over prayer, logic over divine revelation, objectivity over delusion--it wasn't a coincidence that it was the men of faith who flew jets into buildings built by the men of reason.

    This logically means:

Western Civilization is far superior to any other civilization, especially those whose roots are deep in mysticism, like the Northern Hemisphere Indian nations and tribes.

As well as Hong Kong's self-governing is far more morally superior to the CPC's central control and collectivizing of the individual's life.

And don't forget to add Ruby Ridge and Waco to that list.

Over a quarter of hong kong residents were actively protesting. Seems like a few people are standing by there beliefs no matter what. It's hard not to support hong kong and call the people bad or wrong. The chinese government have committed so much human rights violations it's hard to see anyone support china.

The proper response to an overbearing American government is the ballot box, the marketplace of ideas, and the courts; not hiding behind your wife at your home nor a bunch kids and church members in the basement of your church. Nor is it moral to bomb children at a day care center in a Federal Building.

The answer to a overbearing government is not, the Alt-Right; it’s fighting for objective laws based on Individual Rights.

Ayn Rand: “ Civil disobedience may be justifiable, in some cases, when and if an individual disobeys a law in order to bring an issue to court, as a test case. Such an action involves respect for legality and a protest directed only at a particular law which the individual seeks an opportunity to prove to be unjust. The same is true of a group of individuals when and if the risks involved are their own.

“Politically, mass civil disobedience is appropriate only as a prelude to civil war—as the declaration of a total break with a country’s political institutions.”—http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/civil_disobedience.html

its not about supporting china is about what the protester did, if they start protest in your neighborhood, prevent you from working or access to home or hospital, even if you agree with their cause, are you gonna stand by and do nothing for several month? that's what happen, at the start of protest there were almost a million peaceful protester, but now at most few thousands, mainly because the disruption to the cities economy, transportation and other service cause protester losing support from local resident everyday. also most protester are young kids, some like 12/13 years, do you honestly believe they wisdom/experience/knowledge to understand what freedom or democracy is. I know I don't during the time of tianmmen square 6/4 1989

If they think life is hell now, and their economy sucks, wait until Xi Jinping and the CPC loots and rapes it for all its worth.

There is no economic prosperity without freedom of thought.

The protests were peaceful until reason not to from what I saw. I understand some peoples way of life may be changed during his but the same thing happened during the revolutionary war. It may not be best right now but standing by and doing nothing isnt right either.

The protesters are local residents and 8 million marched that's a quarter of there population actively protesting. I thing the people that dont support the cause is grossly over shadowing because of media influence.

To surrender freedom of thought to dictators, tyrants, or authoritarians is to surrender the future to depravity, deprivations, disease, and death. For reference study communist and fascist history, as well as The Spanish Inquisition, the Dark Ages of Christian Theocracy, and Mao’s Great Leap Foward.

This why the Hong Kong idealists fight to death; this why they deserve the support of the moral being. Are you one?

I support Hong Kong Idealists and their Revolution against tyranny and oppression.

Washington thought Hong Kong was China's Achille's foot, but it's not bringing about the chaos they wanted on the mainland. Maybe they thought that China would come in and shoot some of the young kids.

I know with the protests by Navalny in Moscow, the young kids were being given money to protest. Another advantage in using them, was that they were too young to be arrested. In Syria they used children and there were also hired snipers to shoot them - as there was in Kiev.

When the protests in Kiev started I turned onto Fox news to find out what was going on. I think it was Shepard Smith that had a map showing the areas the protesters were coming from. He kept waiting for people to start coming from areas other than the West of Ukraine. They didn't! He was also surprised that many were from Poland, not Ukraine.

Of course there was no mention of how they could afford to protest for weeks if not months, since they were from the poorest areas in Ukraine. A poster from Germany said Merkel was paying them. I believe the violent ones with the catapults were trained in Poland by the CIA and probably paid by the CIA. I don't know who was paying the snipers from Georgia who killed both protesters and police, but I do know the US was training the nationalists army which together with the mafia's private armies committed the worse atrocities.

As for the Ukrainian army, they were just cannon fodder and given only 2 weeks training. I think it was done to kill them off so their families would be forced to sell their farmlands.

More to the point, violate their rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

When a government denies the right to liberty, the citizens have every moral right to shoot the bastards.

The stand of some on this board against the Hong Kong idealists reminds me of the morons blaming women for their rape and bruises--their skirts too tight, their blouses too low, their walks too provocative, they fought back, after they advertised to everyone, we're asking for it. (If the youthful individualistic idealists wouldn't demand the impossible, and fight for the unobtainable, the right to live free, there'd be peace and harmony, and we could all go about our business. They are just a bunch of selfish navie youths asking to be stepped on. Liberty? Grow the fk up, right?)

Why is Hong Kong burning? Because Xi Jinping and the CPC lit the fuse. They are the aggressors. They deserve death. They are the Stalin and the Red Army of today. (I would remind everyone that when Stalin went to enslave the Kulaks by collectivizing their farms, the Kulaks rebelled ferociously and violently by burning their farms and crops, and their neighbor's as well.)

In a fight to the death, there is no negotiation, only victory. To the hell with Xi Jinping and the CPC, and hurrah for the Hong Kong youthful idealists.

I find the following statement by the President funny. First of all he used the word obliterated when he should have said the protests would have stopped. Of course it was intentional so he could demonize China. Just because Trump doesn't like spin and fake news when it's against him, doesn't mean he doesn't like it when it's being used for our regime change policy. Heaven forbid we should stop causing chaos in the world.

Besides, why would Washington want China to stop the anarchy, when their NGO's worked for years to reach that point in Hong Kong, after all it was China's Archilles heel. How else could they spread protests to China? More than likely Trump threatened China the way Nuland threatened Yanukovich in Kiev not to use the police to stop the 'peaceful' protests, even though these so called peaceful protesters were hacking and burning the police with Molotov cocktails.

So who is behind the anarchists that pop up whenever there are protests? I'm going to render a guess that it's the same liberal new world order ideologues that are behind the protests,- or some group associated with them.

The protesters should stop burning their cities and go find the politicians, then give them the option to leave office quietly or suffer the consequences.

You have it all backwards, China wants to preserve their 50 billion agricultural deal with the United States, so Trump has some leverage to work with, and the protesters are better off because of this.

When I said Trump threatened China, I meant an economic threat. Okay so you call it leverage, but it's the same thing.

To demand the individual sacrifice his life for the good of all is to demand the creation of gulags, killing fields, internment camps, gas chambers, crematoria, mass starvation, and every form of human vileness, atrocity, depravity, and barbarity one can imagine.

    We the Living
is Ayn Rand’s first novel. Published in 1936, the story is set in Soviet Russia, from which Rand had fled to America ten years earlier.

The immigrant Rand was startled by the failure of American intellectuals and politicians to uphold the American ideals of individualism and freedom, and she was horrified by the widespread acceptance, even sympathy, that greeted the spread of communism, socialism and fascism in Europe. Rand resolved to expose the “noble ideal” of collectivism, through the story of three young people whose lives are sacrificed by an all-powerful state.

Originally titled “Airtight,” this unvarnished account details the methods by which the spirits of its best citizens are suffocated by the collectivist state. The first printing (3,000 copies) sold out, but the book went out of print due to a publisher’s error. An edition revised by Rand was published in 1959, following the success of Atlas Shrugged (1957).

And that is what Xi Jinping and the CPC are demanding of Hong Kong citizens; and why a University burns. And this is why the best and brightest recognize their death sentence when they see it, and are willing to risk their lives to defeat it. What do they have to lose? A living death?

In Hong Kong there is a young woman in love with a young man. The understand the value of liberty, their lives, their hopes, their dreams, their love. For this they will be murdered. In Ayn Rand's We the Living, there is a similar tale about a young woman named Irina and a young dissident named Sasha. They are sentenced to Siberia to die, apart. Their spirit is alive in Hong Kong.

    "IRINA DUNAEVA
Kira’s cousin Irina wants to be an artist. In this sense, she’s similar to Kira, who understands that to live means to have personal values and pursue them passionately. But Irina understands less than Kira does about the tremendous virtue this attitude represents and about the evil of those who would sacrifice an individual life for the sake of society.

Irina falls in love with Sasha Chernov, a rebel who is determined to fight against the Soviet state. These lovers refuse to cave in and cozy up to the Party, as Irina’s brother Victor does. Victor, to advance his fortunes, is willing to betray Irina and Sasha to the secret police, leading to their exile to Siberia."

    https://aynrand.org/novels/we-the-living/#ctab-5

Xi Jinping knows the story. He knows what he's murdering. There will be no forgiveness, and the horror that fills his mind as he dies and it hits him full force what he did, will be the justice he deserves.
