Mass protesting still ongoing in France in opposition to pension reforms. Without French posters its hard to tell what people are more angry about, the actual reforms or whether they introduced by constitutional power as opposed to a legislator voting which likely would have failed.

Concerning the reform, nobody would like they change, but its not extreme being placed at 64 for retirement. Once again, nobody would like the change as it is not to anyone's benefit who would receive that pension at 62.

It's rough when you work all your life depending upon a promise to be looked after in your old age and then get the rug ripped out from under you by right leaning politicians.

With the retirement of the baby boomers this was always unavoidable for financial reasons.

Yep. Programs where you put in to pay those needing money now and later when you need the money depend on others to still be putting in, is LITERALLY how a ponzi scheme works.
Ponzi schemes only work when there are more new investors paying in than old investors getting paid out. The baby boom skews that pyramid shape. Upside down pyramids are not stable structures.
