The last governor election in Florida was so close? Why couldn't Gillum pull it off? He was ahead until North Florida started coming in. I mean he was mayor of Tallahassee.

Florida really seems to be the compass of the nation, predicting the winner in the last 5 elections.

The panhandle is more like the south than most of the rest of Florida. But the amendment automatically granting back voting rights to felons that passed will make sure that the next time he can make it.

    Just sit tight.

Granting back voting to Felons voting is a great move.

I don't know. I live in Fla. We've had a Republican governor since Jeb Bush so that's like 20 years in a row, and the state is in fine shape. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

You do know Amendment 4 has the potential to add hundreds of thousands of Democratic voters?

    Yup.

    The reliably Democratic Felon vote.

Hopefully they turn out in record numbers.

That's totally dependent on the Democrat's ground game. Ex-felons won't be going to the polls on their own.

That doesn't make sense though, Lawton Chiles was a decent governor, so why not give it another try?

Well the Florida democratic party is incompetent. For the nations largest swing state, democrats sure know how to screw it up down there. I mean come on since 1998 they haven't held the governorship or the state legislature for that matter. Well Trump is from Florida and he campaigned a lot down there for candidates. Trump puts republicans who are in close races over the top. He's good at that.

She might have won it a dozen years ago. The Democratic Party in Florida has moved on from legacies.

And moved on to a socialist who was under investigation, real smart to nominate him.

Yeah but a socialist under criminal investigation came within 30,000 votes of the governorship in a State of almost 21 million people.

That would not have happened a dozen years ago, but the Democratic Party has moved on. It's more or less a socialist party now.

The Dems haven't put up a decent candidate.

Yes back in Jeb's days Florida was the pill mill capitol of our country and where Philly gang bangers went to buy their guns with licenses over the internet.

Um if you haven't figured it out yet Florida is full of senile elderly white racists. Amazing to me a black candidate got as close as he did.

I assume you have the evidence to prove that felons are overwhelmingly Democratic.

Well sure, but I'm curious if you have evidence that they don't? I would be curious to see if there are any counters to that notion.

Jail survey: 7 in 10 felons register as Democrats

    In other words:

3 in 10 felons register as Republicans.

Apparently, the Florida GOP is really looking forward to harvesting the Felon Vote.

That's exactly the lesson to learn!
