Question for democrats about incoming caravan.

So I hadn’t actually paid to much attention to this subject so I don’t know what prospective is from you guys on the left over this. Supposedly the caravan has reached over 10,000 people and a second caravan is said to be forming as we speak. So what is your guys opinion on this? How should we respond? What should be done with them? Should we just let them in? Any answers will be appreciated thanks.

My advice is to ignore them. They are... well... not relevant. Just people with emotions, and nothing else.

If AJ is anything to go off of then you are probably right. Still worth a shot. I legitimately don’t know what their take on it is so just wanted to hear from them.

 

They should do something for most of the Latinos within are supporting the DEMS, there would be backlash I suppose, or else they can make it appear that Trump's policy prevents them in supporting the incoming caravan.

What's to debate? They're approximately 1500 miles away and making little progress. They'll be lucky to get here by Christmas. Why waste time debating another Trump fear headline? The Trump insanity has reached a point where these marchers, we really don't know much about, are tagged as criminals, terrorists, MS-13, hidden ISIS thugs, Arabs with bone saws, and illegals coming to occupy your summer home while you are away. We're supposed to debate this?

Pence recently said, 'well, how do know there aren't middle easterners in the crowd?' I got one for you buddy, how do we know there isn't at least one Martian in the crowd? You never know. It's possible.

How about building a long row of machine gun nests on the border?

 

Whether one person or a million, let them follow the required procedure to gain entry. If they get tired of waiting they can let Mexico worry about what to do with them.

 

Like opion8d, I'm finding the caravan to be a delicious story with delicious timing. Midterm timing. For both sides.

The propaganda machines are working overtime. And unless or until it actually nears the US border, I think everyone needs to take a pill and focus on real issues.

Yes, the Republicans are taking advantage of the situation...which is what we've been saying. They are riling up their base and creating fear in others that an invasion is going to take place. And that they - the Republicans - are the only ones interested in stopping it.

So my question...when will this invasion take place? And how will they 'get in'? And what are the Republicans suggesting they will do to stop it?

It's basically that they care NOTHING about trying to STOP the caravan. Their silence gives them away. Trump wants it, so they automatically think that they have to oppose it (stopping the Caravan.) "Nothing wrong with thousands and thousands of shiny new Democrat voters streaming into our country", they believe.

 

But are any on the far left saying "yes, I agree with Trump that we need to do all we can to STOP it!" Of course they are not. See how that works?

 

But they give Keith Ellison a big fat PASS! A black Muslim Democrat gets a pass from the left - they put politics over women's rights.
