I think babies are very much like cats, they can see stuff others can't. I believe they have some form of contact with the underworld or something. Just look at them! Holding them is scary too. I mean, what if you accidentally drop them?
You gain confidence with them as you spend time with them. Believe me, I was nervous the first time I had to be alone with and care for my infant son, but everything worked out fine. Feeling a bit nervous around babies is normal at first. You get used to them throwing up on you and spitting food on you and head butting you when you are holding them on your lap, or trying to rip your earrings out. Lol!
Some day when you have kids of your own, you will love your babies. When they grow up, you will say, "why can't you be a baby again?" Lol!
My daughter had colic pretty bad. I remember car-rides and even carrying her around the house with my hand on her tummy in the wee hours of the morning...seemed to soothe her. Sometimes I marvel at that fact when I see her now as an adult.
As a husband, once my first child was born and I helped my wife through the after effects of said birth.....I'd seen it all. Flossing....pisshh....child's play.
It depends on how well you do. If you get a lot of base, then yes. Even more impressed if you grab a lighter and make blue angels.
