I know this a dumb question

but a search does not give me a definite answer

no doubt trump is paying dershowitze and rightly so...

but is trump using public money or his personal money to keep him retained??

also dershowitz has been on the news shows basically non stop

when he appears on CNN for example...

is CNN paying him or is trump paying him to spout off his theories and spin on TV??

same goes for FOX, when he appears on fox who pays him??

    trump or fox??

Headline: Dershowitz Says He's Not Taking Money for Work on Trump Legal Team

    https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...not-taking-money-for-work-on-trump-legal-team

“I will not take a single penny of payment that I would keep based on what I’m doing,” he said. “I’m doing this because I strongly believe in the Constitution. I strongly oppose the impeachment. I worry about the weaponization of impeachment, and it could be used in other cases.”

Pro bono at least for him it appears.

He wants to stay on Dirty Donalds good side, in case our Justice Dep't. goes after those who palled around with Epstein.

I don't know how the guests of the talking heads on the telescanner get paid for an appearance, or if they get paid anything. Portal to portal plus per diem? idk.

He has spent his whole life defending civil liberties - often running against the herd. Its a partisan patsy shot you have taken.

Take it back !! -- and go forth with tail between legs.

It's not even decent enough to be called partisan. It is just a low down and dirty cheap shot.

I haven't heard Dershowitz defend Trump. He has defended the Constitution. I presume Dershowitz is paid by Harvard. Just as Trump works for nothing because he loves the country, no doubt Dershowitz agrees to interviews because he loves the Constitution and feels obligated to teach people about the ingenious document.

If you're worried about getting your money's worth from our government, you should be asking who paid Hunter's travel to Ukraine to pick up a quick $83K per month in exchange for $1B in taxpayer loan guarantees.

Just out of curiosity, why should Trump pay for it himself? He is not defending himself as a private citizen. He is defending himself as president.

Hence the descriptive adjective Patsy . Allan defended Clinton against the same kind of third world kangaroo justice system gone wild tactics as he did Trump. He was right then - as acknowledge after the fact by some changes being made. Unfortunately those changes didn't work and now is fighting the same battle against the same kangaroo clown show - only this time it is a Blue circus instead of a Red circus.

Have you ever wondered how the number of inches of cigar that slick willy inserted into Monica's oval orifice was relevant to white water ? It wasn't - obviously - and you could never get away with such a line of questioning in a normal court proceeding.

In Trump you had the rounding up of anyone connected to Trump - their lives rifled through - in search of some dirt - any dirt - that could be used to coerce that person into cooperating. What did tax fraud a decade prior have to do with "Russian Collusion" ? ZERO.

The special prosecutor is given "special powers" - similar in a way to the special powers granted to the state during Martial Law or some extraordinary event.

Those powers - which include spying and abuse of civil liberties - like privacy and a whack of others - are only given on given with respect to addressing the extra-ordinary event .. in this case the claim was that Russia was some grave national security threat to our elections - and that Trump was actively engaged in illegal activities towards that goal. Since spreading information is not illegal - you would have had to pretty much prove that Donald was somehow involved in the hack. Now this - in of itself is absurd in many ways - but - what does tax fraud by one of Trumps associates 10 years ago have to do with this - and the various other things for which folks were rounded up.

Did these folks receive "Equal Justice Under the Law" - or is this now just a feel good platitude ? upload_2020-1-29_9-45-23.jpeg

I should have expected this type of response from a question...

my mistake was putting the dershowitz name in the title

but after I had seen him on TV numerous times since he testified his name came to mind

here is a quick rundown of answers from the question

    "who pays trumps lawyers"

    1. dershowitz is only defending the constitution and is doing it for free

    2. hunter biden made 83 thousand

    3. trump has photos

    4. Clinton killed epstien

I guess this is why it is so much fun reading this forum

if I started a new thread asking who pays trump lawyers

would the replies be any different ??

As for the President his supporters are paying for his defense.

    Dershowitz is likely pro bono.

It varies for “pundits” on television. Some would fall into the category where the publicity for their employer is the remuneration while others are paid directly. Normally this is closely held by the media corporations. It is up to the individual shows to notify its audience of guest’s engagements and or conflicts.

The money for Dersh is being funneled to me via Vlad. I have multiple off shore companies, Vlad buys one of my hankies that normally retails for $5.99 but I sell it to him for $400,000, he buys two. The money goes in to my Cayman Island account, it is then converted in to cash, stuffed in teddy bears I purchase from China then shipped in a non descript container in to the port of Jersey. There some longshormen take the bears to a warehouse, where I have a number of illegal immigrants chained to tables commence to remove the cash, it is delivered to Dersh under the guise of a coffee table purchase, the table is hollowed out and the money is inserted. It's all good people.

Fox and CNN pay for their own guests. I would guess that Trump is paying Dershowitz for his court/Senate appearances and work, though he is not obliged to. Public funds can be used to cover Trump's defense as it is to pay for the Democrats' prosecution and things like the Mueller report.

In my opinion if tax payers money is paying for Trump's defense it is money well invested. And keep in mind who is paying all the democrats in the House who are going after Trump.
