Race and gender discrimination, why can’t we have racial segregation in sports?

In sports, there is segregation between the sexes due to clear differences in physical performance abilities.

My question is, why is there no racial segregation in sports?

There are differences between male and female that exist between races as well.

For example Asian men on average are shorter and smaller in size and strength than white, black and other races.

how many Asians do we have in football? In boxing? In sports that are extremely physical?

If you can make a broad general statement that women are physically weaker than men, you can make a statement that generally, Asian men are physically weaker than black and white men, and the statistics support this.

so why isn’t there segregation among races in sports like there are segregation among sexes in sports?

so there be an WNBA (white nba), just like there is a WNBA (women’s nba) or an Asian nba, a Latino nba, ect.,

why allow sex segregation but not race?

I doubt there would be a big draw, hence little monetary support, for, say, Asian-only hockey, or Ethiopian sumo wrestling. It's all about the money.

Then this answer will: Because there is no such thing as "race"!!!

 

A few simple examples, does not mean that races all compete evenly in sports, just because some females can play at a high level doesn't mean that females can compete with males. Race is a social construct but so is gender, and sports are segregated on the basis of that.

Why is it racist if I want to see more Asian in sports in the USA? I will never get to see my race represented in football, a sport I like a lot unless there was a league just for Asians (Orientals, in particular, not pacific islanders). Even with the NBA, there are barely any Asians in the sport. If women can form their own league due to a general inability to compete with males, Asians should be able to form their own league due to inability to generally compete with blacks, whites, and others.

Why? Because there is no such thing as race!!!!

Concept is made up. There is no such thing in biology or anthropology. And while races don't exists... racists certainly do. They do all they can to keep the concept alive.

Of course racists exist. They are the people who believe that races exist. And that they define anything about a group of people.

Of course black people exist. Just like blue-eyed people exist. Do you believe that "blue eyes" is a "race"? But there are more genes that control eye color than those that control skin color. Up to 16 different genes control eye color. Only ONE controls skin color. So if there is more genetic variation between somebody who has brown eyes and somebody who has blue eyes, then there is between a black person and a white person... why is "black" a "race". But "blue-eyes" is not?

Look. I'm not saying that you're racist. I don't know you. But everything you have said so far most definitely is.

if not, it’s not racist to form an Asian only league.

And if black people aren’t a race, then I’m nit racist if I hate black people, I just hate one set of genes out of many genes. Not racist, I just hate a particular gene.

The KKK should just change their motto to, we hate one kind of gene, we aren’t racist. We just hate the black skin gene.

 

Race and gender are NOT social constructs. There are different races, sorry to break the news. You are advocating for affirmative action for Asians. If Blacks can get it, I really don't give a damn if Asians do too.

After all, I'm White.....we're blamed for everything and supposedly so 'privileged' we have to pay for those who can't.

 

Affirmative action would be if I was advocating for Asians to be let into the NBA instead of using merits.

Race is a social construct, and the social construct has definitions that will prevent a 7 feet black guy from joining my league. A lot of things are social constructs, and there are definitions behind them.

Marriage is a social construct and it has a definition.
Wealth is a social construct, and it has a definition.
A computer is a social construct, and a book can never argue it's way into being a computer.

Just because society created the definition, doesn't mean that definition that fluxes.

 

Yeah, Asians study a lot, they play sports too though, look at China, they have a basketball team, just can't compete with a lot of the white and black teams.

 

The reason you aren't 7 feet tall and black is because race is NOT a social construct. Genetics, learn it. If you disagree, just identify as a 7 feet tall Sub-Saharan African and your problem is solved.

On a side note speaking about race and sports do you all remember the movie White Men Can’t Jump? What do you think would happen if a movie came out about the Olympics that was titled Black Men Can’t Swim? There would be a friggin uprising of racism accusations. Charles Barkley said it the best about 20 years ago. He said you know we live in a diverse world when the best golfer is Black, the best basketball player is Asian and the best rapper is White. He was of course referring to Tiger Woods, Yao Ming and Eminem respectively.

 

Sigh do you know what a social construct is?

Does science define race, or do we as a society define race? Both ways are legitimate.

A social construct doesn't mean I can identify to be 7 feet tall, a social construct means I can determine how many inches are in a feet.

 

You can't use one Asian that is good at basketball to indicate that Asians are good at basketball. I can't use one Mexican who happens to be a rapist, to say that all Mexicans are rapists.

That's like saying black people made it because we had a black president.

Why does there need to be a movie called "Black Men can't swim"?
There isn't a movie called Women can't play basketball as good as Men, and if there were, there would be sexism accusations thrown around like crazy... and yet the wmba exists, because... Women can't play basketball as good as Men... on average, I'm sure there's lots of ladies that will crush me in basketball.

 

DUH If we segregated in sports exactly how many Olympic gold medals do you think the all white U.S. Olympic team would win??Boxing is already segregated by weight divisions (AKA as SIZE),we have had one Chinese successfully compete in the NBA.
