The great thing about that is that any kid can achieve a high percentile, as long as their parents are sufficient motivated to support their education. The parents themselves don't need to be educated, they just need to take it seriously and dedicate their spare time to keeping Little Johnny focused. They also don't need to be rich, or have loads of free time. Any parent can do it. The reason we see so much disparity in outcomes is because few parents actually WANT to do it.

Utter BS. My father-in-law was so black you couldn't see him in the dark unless he smiled. He gained his professional degree in one of the most prestigious schools in the Western World .. in the 1950s. He studied with an array of brilliant students from around the world. Nigerians, Indians, Chinese, etc. Today, every other citizen of America (and Australia, and the UK, and New Zealand, and Canada .. etc) has a family doctor of Indian, Arab, or Pakistani heritage. Go to any Law school today and the majority of students will be non-white.

The poor neighborhoods have the worst schools
The poor kids are less apt to have a parent home to help
The poor family is most often from a poor family and themselves less educated.

The only thing standing between these 'poor' kids and academic success is parents who don't care about education. Because literally NOTHING else is stopping them.

 

A little story.
I moved to a retirement community and we started a foundation with the aim of helping poor kids in a small town north east of hear. It is a defunct copper mining town - very poor.
We have managed to supply preschool, a food program as well as some tutoring and a lady to work with parents.
The high school graduation rate as well as college rates are measurable. Twenty years, not a whole lot of money and all tax deductible.

 

Considering the low-lifed stench of your posts then yes sir it is in fact a, compliment, for your mind to view me as embarrassing myself. Because in the real, world, it means I did the exact opposite
