    Published November 8th, 2019, so it is a current event.

    The purpose of this thread is to give members quick access to the letter and also to point out that never before in the history of our great Union was it necessary to send a sitting POTUS a "cease and desist" letter and point out that said POTUS is literally breaking THREE laws at the same time, namely:

    18 U.S.C. §1512 (Tampering with a witness, victim or an informant)

    18 U.S.C. §1505 (Obstruction of proceedings before Departments, Agencies and Committees)

    -and-

    18 U.S.C. §1513 (Retailiating against a witness, victim or an informant).

    These are federal offenses and therefore, also impeachable offenses.

    The moment Trump let it rip with the good old 'you all know what we did with spies way back when' (paraphrasing) crap, I assumed that at some point in time, he would receive a cease and desist letter.

    I will also again remind that the behavior of this sorely ill-equipped, incompetent, morally bankrupt or amoral, unethical, criminal President is MOB behavior. This is how the mafia rolls.

    Every ardent Trump supporter out there really should read the letter, because this is real stuff. This is US legal code, in black and white. And the evidence of these crimes was provided by Trump himself. There's video, there's audio, there are tweets... the man, through his egotistical, impulsive, brazen, unthinking behavior, is self-impeaching.

    This current event is not going to be going away for a while.

    Why not? No way I would vote for a democrat unless they completely reform the DNC. I can't approve of rigging the elections. The DNC got caught red handed.

    Good post... and good letter... I wonder if Cipollone will actually convey any of this to Trump?? Lot of big words in there...

    The best part is that the letter makes clear that the PRIMARY reason the WB will not be testifying an any portion of the impeachment hearings is because he is intimidated by the actions of the President... Should anybody continue to demand the WB appear, all anybody else needs to do is produce this letter..... I know I will...

    It should have been expanded to include the family of the President as well, covering Junior....

    "Let me be clear: should any harm befall any suspected named whistleblower or their family, the blame will rest squarely with your client."

    The whole premise that this person is somehow an honest whistleblower is false. A joke. A political activist supported by democrat politicians in order to drive their hidden agenda. Even his lawyer is on record, he called for impeachment in January 2017. If you want an example of a proper whistleblower, look at Snowden. This guy is a political hack. Do liberals really think Americans are imbeciles and will fall for their latest disgusting lies?

    But that of course ignores the fact that multiple right wing sources are attempting to identify the person they believe is the whistleblower.
