Well, they have a logic. They just operate from different premises. We operate from the premise that it's wrong to aggress against peaceful people. They operate from the premise that might makes right, and whatever end they wish to achieve is justified by the use of violence against otherwise innocent people.
You operate from the premise that a political theory that currently works nowhere in the world can suddenly work in the US. Lol
you operate from the premise that punishing honest people who don't misuse guns will somehow deter criminals who already violate numerous laws while armed.
It's not a "theory". It's a premise. I don't think that might makes right. I don't consider it to be ethically legitimate. I understand that you, like a neighborhood mugger, think might makes right. Thus you become not someone to engage in philosophical discourse, but rather a technical difficulty to be overcome.
Someday there might even be a US politician that is a libertarian. Your "premise" is quite the success. LOL
I understand that you consider the initiation of aggression to be a legitimate means to achieve your ends. But I, and most Americans, don't consider it legitimate to initiate force against a person simply because he possesses a firearm. I understand your lust to dominate others, but in this case you and your ilk don't seem to be getting your way.
Only in the imagination of foolish people. No other Nation is like unto us as far as Liberty, Freedom and Justice.
Hm. I'm not sure what this has to do with my post you quoted. I said, I understand that you consider the initiation of aggression to be a legitimate means to achieve your ends. But I, and most Americans, don't consider it legitimate to initiate force against a person simply because he possesses a firearm. I understand your lust to dominate others, but in this case you and your ilk don't seem to be getting your way.
Well, the fact that millions of Americans possess firearms and people aren't initiating force against them sort of proves my point.
