I'm not feeling 100%, I'm not going into college today to save them getting this flu or whatever I feel coming on. Was doing house work this morning and decided to take a sick day, so now my chores are done, I'm sparing my tutor this thing and I heard it's flu season. I suck at new movies, and by new, I mean anything made since 2005. But please, recommend any movies from any time. ... I watched this one last week, The Space Between Us (2017) because this scientist was talking about it on YouTube and how it was scientifically accurate, but I had never heard of it before that; I thought that movie was alright. It's basically about a boy who was born on a Martian colony and his birth was covered up and he was raised on Mars, comes to Earth, finds his heart doesn't work well with Earth's gravity...
It was okay for a teenage romance. I enjoyed "Gravity" and "The Martian" a lot better. Wonder Woman was good. I have Justice League, but haven't watched it yet.
NOT Death of Stalin. Because of the rave reviews, deeming it the "best movie of the year", repeated references to the "brilliant" dialogue, Husband and I went to see it. We were victims of Hollywood propaganda - The reviews are lies. The history, if played straight, might have been hilarious. But they ruined it with bad treatment. The acting was hammy. Steve Buscemi looked more like Jimmy Carter than Nikita Kruschev. The dialogue was not funny unless you think the "f" bomb and misogynist wise cracks are funny. Just sitting in the audience made me feel like I needed to join #MeToo.
