    snip

Approximately 862 workers who had been renovating RedfinNow homes will be laid off as part of the online brokerage's latest cuts, CEO Glenn Kelman said in an SEC filing................

Since April, Redfin has already reduced its staff by 27%............

The company has also eliminated the roles of 218 employees, who have the option to stay at Redfin in another role. If all of those employees leave, the overall reduction in Redfin's workforce would be 16% in November and 29% since April, the company said.

    end snip

More bad economic news. One might suspect that backing off on the war on fossil-fuels might help turn around this train wreck. Given the layoffs happening within tech, and the cratering housing industry, I'm unsure how these folks will find comparable positions.

    thank you for that

I'm confident that the avg consumer would agree with you as every single item, be it plastic, vinyl, diesel, gas, jet fuel etc costs much more since the harmful, Democrat EOs. Yup, no war, no harm to the common folk............in what fantasy land is this?

Sure there is... we just need to make sure we deploy enough from the front lines in the war on Christmas to be able to maintain adequate troop levels...

the market would love gridlock; I've said that many times over the past few months. Gridlock is best as it keeps all those rascals at bay and we in the Dreaded Private Sector at least know that DC can't hurt us any more than they already have; and we can move forward.

My portfolio, thanks for asking, has taken a drubbing and has a ways to go. But, I still DCA as I'm in for the long term.

Of course Biden doesn't want to change a thing. This is "supposed to happen"...

Come on man the election is over and you can be honest now. Hell even LSM is now asking tough questions like inflation, crime they claimed Republicans were using to fear monger. Yes we all know Biden has a war going on with oil companies. But secretly Joe has instructed big banks to keep dealing with Gazprom because he believes a real shutdown of Gazprom will create a catastrophe for the global economy which of course the US is tied directly to. So yes Joe is worried about the US economy and needs the Russian gas even as he is pumping billions of dollars into Ukraine to fight the Russians. I wonder if this is as confusing to anyone else?

Well since the EO's were, at best, symbolic and didn't accomplish anything it's the real world and the fantasy is thinking there is a "war".

You always bring up your "sig" like it's saying "Beatlejuice" or something. It's what he said as a candidate. So what. There is no war on fossil fuels. We're at near record highs in oil production. What else do you want. Wait, I know, nothing....because there is nothing that Biden could possible do that would change your mind no matter how wrong you are.

Well, it's definitely confusing to you because what you're trying to say to justify your point is not true. It's true the shut down of Gazprom to prevent global economic catastrophe, which is a fact. If you don't think that's a fact, go ahead or do you, for some reason, WANT an ecenomic catastrophe?
    What Russian gas?

And the housing market is going through a correction because of the increase in high federal prime rates. So, that makes sense. Also, given that we have one of the highest home prices in a long time, this will be a repeat of 2007-2008, but the housing bubble will not be the cause of the recession.

Public statements and actions by POTUS suggest otherwise.

Yes there is and he started it as a candidate and then day one in office he fired the first shot and then in two speeches last week tripled down on it.

Now watch the video. Dimon is telling Sherman he is not using loopholes in the sanctions to work with Gazprom. Dimon is telling Sherman he was instructed by the American government to work with Gazprom.

And more importantly you're hearing it straight from Dimon himself. And he knows it's felony to lie to congress. Now tell me again Gazprom is being sanctioned by the Biden Administration?
