Don't worry for me, they appreciate my company, the fact they're four at maximum explain why we don't have huge conversations.

Nothing to do with that I said.

When you think about it Christianity is modeled on the ancient Egyptian religion. It has the same belief about resurrection and similar burial practices. At one point in the biblical fairy tale the Paul character was accused of being an Egyptian terrorist. And Jesus and his family spent time in Egypt.

The Paul character gave a test for Christianity. He said in 1 Corinthians 15:16 (NKJV) that if the dead do not rise then Christ (Jesus) did not rise. So how many real zombies have you seen in your lifetime? I have never seen one and no one I know has ever seen any. While zombies are popular in movies and tv shows they seem to be missing in the real world. In effect Paul (or some writer) said that his religion was pure BS.

It's too bad Yeshua isn't still wiggling on his cross.

As I've said before, if a person isn't interested in living forever there's no real reason to cater to any deity unless it's for personal social or financial reasons. If Yeshua was real and legit then not one person in human history has ever believed in him because no one has ever been able to pass his test.

Religion is a perfect scam because it uses people's own superstitions against them. That enables the con men to gain power, status, and wealth by promising superstitious people something they will never get = eternal life.

If I was back in college and it matter to me you damn right I would raised hell for a dean not allowing a source that all the academic studies had shown to be on the same level as any other similar source.

I was thinking more of everything from fish Friday to divorce, same sex marriage, prophylaxis, IVF (including dumping the unwanted fertilized eggs), women in the clergy and otherwise playing important roles in society.

    It goes to the top.

Of course, these scandals are not limited to one denomination nor are they limited to religious organizations. It's even gone to the very top of our own US government.

    lol.

Yes, they aren't going to surrender the family jewels while they can still find sins to pretend to have never existed.

Whataboutism is hypocrisy in this instance since public schools are NOT in the habit of covering up for pedophiles for decades.

The RCC ENABLED pedophilia for generations and that is unacceptable. It is the ONLY organization that has ever done so a routine matter of policy within the ranks of it's own staff.

Denial of reality on your part does not alter the odious and illegal documented pedophilia in the RCC.

Spare me the faux self righteous indignation, there are governments all over the world who turn their backs on things like child sex trafficking, which I have never seen you post on.

You know, this IS the 21st century, not the dark ages. Like I said, It's not even the 1950s anymore, but in any case, as far as the Church has fallen, it's still not a secular organization, and their issues are not your issues.

Yet another FAILED attempt at whataboutism because there is valid defense of the RCC's attitude regarding their own pedophiles!

Enabling pedophiles and obstructing justice are violations of the Law of the Land and no religion has any exemption from obeying secular laws.

Your talking to a man who thinks grabbing female genitals without consent and cheating on your wife with a Porn Star are acceptable...that his Church condones or hides didling little boys is no big deal.

Once upon a time I can recall Republicans being outraged about having to 'splain to their children what a BJ was!

Now it appears as though that was a "high point" for them.

The Marianas Trench seems like a shallow puddle compared to the depths to which they have sunk with the BLOTUS.

And if a Democrat was diddling little boys (Like Fred Richmond D-NY) or running a gay prostitution business out of his house, like Barney Fwank (D-Mass) and let's not forget the liar in Chief his own self, Bill ("I did not have sex with that woman") Clinton, you'd give him a medal and re-elect him.

(This is where they start whining about "whataboutism".)
