Upon further investigation, police learned that the victim, along with another child, were sitting on the porch of the home watching Ramsey practice shooting. Authorities say Ramsey told police that he heard the door open and "assumed that the child had gone inside." Police also noted that Ramsey admitted that the incident was "completely avoidable." Ramsey was arraigned to the Bedford County Prison, on $100,000 bail, online court dockets show. Police say the victim was transported to Conemaugh Nason Hospital and then transferred to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. An update on the child's condition was not provided.
