dems had no power to stop them. repubs controlled the legislative and executive branch
I guess we shall see...I don’t like playing in what ifs, but in reality. In reality spending was less
So you don’t know how the senate works, I see
That’s ok when you spend less
The penny plan was introduced by Rand Paul and Mark Sanford. It is a well thought out idea that the democrats screamed like stuck pigs over because it decreased their INCREASE.
All professional politicians benefit from increasing government spending.
It was apparently difficult for the FF to imagine a professional American political class.
What’s your point? The Dems are still there and worked with. That’s what the GOP does, they compromise
Why not cut entitlements to the poor?
What good does it do to toss good money down the worthless pit they are?
I couldn't have expressed American Christianity any better.
uh, that dems could not stop repubs from passing said bill.
Run on that pledge
It has nothing to do with Christianity, this nation has been pouring billions down that pit for four decades and still has nothing positive to show for it or from it.
Te they could reconciliation bills can’t change discretionary spending. Cutting 1 percent across the board deals with discretionary spending. Again, obviously you don’t know how the senate works
Ummm..Shutdown anyone ?
show me where it says it CAN'T be used for discretionary spending.
Where is the prohibition on discretionary spending in the reconciliation process? Please point it out to me.
Perfect, no more corporate subsidies....
ummm.. SHUTDOWN. They didn’t pay 800,000 people
What have nothing to do with entitlements.
Maybe we need more of them
